Jack points

You want the answer, here it goes...I too have neons, and in the rear, there is a little metal tow loop on the driver's rear side of the car under the rear bumper. I use that. Just make sure you are on a level surface! Again, we see someone asking a question and geting opinions not asked for. If you could not help, why not just read the post and go on! Let's help keep this a fun community folks, and keep this thread out of the flamewars section.

We joke around here, but belittling is another thing. This is in the off topic forum, and probably should have been put in the MP3 section.

before this gets moved to flame war - is there anyways to use the stock jack to lift two tires on one side off the ground? My friend can jack right in the middle of his rocker panels to lift the entire side of his car off the ground. I noticed we can't do it on ours.

equinox, the mp3's suspension is so stiff that if you jack enough, both side tires come up. linux, try not to double post, just edit...kool too.

kooldino,
i hope that you didnt pay over $25 for those neons. i got some glow sticks and duct tape from big lots and they accomplish the same thing. and guess what i am able to jack up my car!!! you should probably save your money for something that makes the car go faster... like a turbo. oh no, now i done it. i probably shouldn't have "offended a moderator" but who cares.

Uhhh...yeah. Again, if you looked at my mods list before you shot your mouth off, you'd know that I have a lot more $ in perfomance mods than anything else, and yes, I've planned on going turbo from the very start.

chill folks! alright...Dino, the "ball" thing in front of the car(under engine, near oil pan) is perfect for jacking both front wheels, in the rear however...its a tad harder, i think its on the left side...i could be wrong, but you could use where the swing arms tie in, there is a hard ass frame peice there, good luck.

*BTW... this isnt a thread about rice, nor neons...so chill,EVERYONE.*

Yeah, like I said, the front 2 are easy to jack (on the points you mentioned). But I can't jack the back without raising my jack up with something (wood blocks, etc).

Also, can the scissor jack be used on those front ball things?

the only thing about that is.. i THINK that the manual only gives you the four spots (next to the wheels) that kooldizzle mah nizzle was talkin about not being able to use.... so that wouldn't be much help.. he could call and ask the dealer :) but then that would take away the fun of some jackass replying to his post in a sassy manner and getting reamed by koolio's minions ;)

:-)

Right, right, I did...but I had to use a block to raise the jack to it (which is a pain, and I probably won't have that if I ever get a flat), and the other side i had to put a block UNDER the jack and another between the jack and the frame...i got it done, but it was a real pain. There has to be an easier way to jack on the rear passenger...

Yeah actually you can get both up at the same time...if you place a floor jack around the center of the car along the floor pan body seam...the little metal strip that sticks downward...and lift there it'll work perfect. Thats how i rotate my tires...if i couldn't do it that way i'd be stuck cause my jackstands are 10 ton units for 4X4's. Be careful when you do it though cause it's not the most stable thing in the world.

20ESGuy, can you take pics of the place that you jack both sides up on?

I'll see what I can do.....I'll try to get some tomorrow evening since I don't have class and I should be able to get to the digi camera from work.

Sorry it took so long guys...weather here's been kind of a b****. Anyways, see the pics below. If you move the jack a little farther forward than i did in the pic it'll pick more even, but i was lazy and in a hurry so.....
