J&S Safeguard Compatibility?

Just wondering if J&S Safeguard systems are car specific or can any model J&S be used on a Protege.

I might of inherited a slightly used J&S system that was used on a FC RX7, not sure of the model but it does say P/N1004-RX7 / 2002.

Just wondering if that would work with my car?

Sorry, that's a single channel unit, and the software is set up for the rotary engine firing cycle.

It could be reprogrammed for MR2 or Honda engines with one coil and a distributor.

i was wondering about mine i bought it off of the forums and wanted to know if mine need sto be reprogrammed?
J&S Electronics Safeguard Part Number: 1004-1CH/2CH
J&S Knock Control Gauge with AF Meter Part Number: 2002
it was used on a civic. also was wondering if you know how i can get the two cables for the gauge. need the plugs that go to the safegaurd - gauges and also the other plug the goes in the gauge and goes to the 02 wires.

Did you get the original instructions with the unit? Most units sold for Honda could be switched to two channel mode. Set switches three and four both down.

Honda units were set up for Honda/GM knock sensors. You will need to get a sensor from the GM Saturn, part number 21021879. I can furnish the sensor connector if you can't get it from the dealer.
