Thats right my underdrive pulley is installed. It feels like she accelerates a lot quicker and a little more responsive to the throttle. The instructions say I wont get ther full potential out of her until a week so the computer can recalibrate. The only bad thing is the belts squeal when it starts up. Is it because they are new belts? Or maybe too tight/loose? They arent loose as far as I can tell...

let us know what u think after getting 'used' to them.. id like to see if its a install worth-while.. thanks man

true that. you know you could have just flashed your ecu. i think you disconnect the battery and the ecu and then plug everything back in. then run the car for like 15-20 min on idol. i think thats how it works.

try using a belt dressing. this will help the timing belts grip better to the pulley. i'm guessing your underdrive pulley is anodized. if it is, the anodized material will rub off on the part of the pulley, so that may cause it to slip slightly. this will probably go away after the anodized material is rubbed off. try tightening and apply belt dressing at that point.

I agree...though I try not to idolize my car....well, ok, I do...but I'd let it IDLE for 15-20 min instead:D

Eh...my verdict on belt dressing is NO. When it comes time to change your belts...you're gonna have to clean all that gunk out of the pully.

Never use belt dressing on a serpentine belt (meaning "one belt does many pulleys" in layman speak. :) )
I'd check to see if you've got the tension set right, if it is too loose they may be slipping.

Hey how much effort did it take to get the old pulley off? As in the bolt on it, was it on there really good? Also how much did the belts run you? I have had my pulley, but have been waiting for the snow to disappear, and it is slowly going away. This weekend the pulley is going on.

what is a pulley lol? Oh ya how much hp do you think you gained off this mod? How long did it take to install? Thanks! :X

PS: Update on any problems or fix's you come across

I had it fixed, one of the belts streched and it needed to be tightened
I had a mechanic do it. The bolt holding the original pulley wouldnt budge. It needs a air compressed drill to get it off. It took about 45-60 min to put it on. I can feel a definite difference in acceleration, its a lot faster and responsive. I think its a great mod...

you don't have to wait just unplug the battery for about 30 second and then drive it like you normaly do and it will recalibrate in a couple of minutes

hmm....my friend has an air compressed drill.....outstanding man, that means i should have it done this weekend....thanks a lot for the info, also how much did the belts cost you?

Who needs to re-tension the old belts when you can just cut them with a knife! lol, j/k good job on your mod man, keep us posted.
