It's here, and I say wow

Alright!
Drove off the lot last night in my MSP at 6:30 PM.
Woohoo!

Car has 255km on it now.

It surprises me in every corner! Even though I have snow tires on it right now (Bridegstone Blizzak WS-50's, sized 195-55-15).

This thing is good.
It's so hard keeping the revs down.

The LSD is very nice! I did some powerslides in a snow covered lot and the car pulls right out of the slide, which I also have to thank the good tires for.

I expect the car to have about 1200km on it by Sunday night.
I'm going on a road-trip to Ottawa ON tonight (3.5 hr drive there) and then Kingston ON Sunday.

Sunday I am competing in the MotorSport Club of Ottawa's Winter Rally-X.

I bought this car to play with, so lets play!!!

First impressions:
VERY good suspension! Once I set the stereo to the settings on the card that comes with it (where it notes what the optimal settings are for this car) it rocks! It was only ho-hum until that point.

It took me forever to figure out how to change radio stations!
The manual helped me there.

It is pretty cold here this morning (around -15C I think) and the suspension was squeaking on my way to work. DIdn't do it yesterday when it was close to 0C, so I blame cold.

I've heard no "clunk" yet.

And the stares! People love this car!!

I do too.
Yay!

Congradulations.
Take it a little easy on her for atleast 1000 miles.

hey hey, i'm still waiting for delivery on mine. glendale star said that it should be here within the next 2 days, and that was yesterday. i can't wait :D :D :D

My dealer called me LAST thursday to say they still didn't know where it was, then he called me again friday to say it would be here Tuesday!
It made my LAST weekend.
And now this weekend I get to play!

RE: 3 hour trip tonight....

Try not to keep the revs at the same spot for any length of time...this is part of the recommendation in your owners manual for the first 600 (or 1000) miles (please convert to km). Just to get optimal life out of your MSP.

Congrats and be safe.

what card did you get fot the stereo settings?
There is a 6x9 card in the bag of stuff that came with the deck.
It has all the "optimal" settings for the stereo.
It made a big difference when I programmed it with those settings.

I ALSO have a packing slip with all the contents of the turbo kit.

SO yes,
I now have 1020Km on my car.
I did the three hour drive after work on Friday (varied the revs, varied speed, varied gears) the car was great!
I hung out with my sister and her friends in Ottawa (everyone LOVES this car, A guy in an older Honda Civic Hatch stopped me on the street to ask about the car, love it!)
On Sunday I competed in the MotorSport Club of Ottawa's Winter Rally-X.
I don't have the results yet, and I am trying to find the people who were taking pictures of me and my car.
This car ROCKS.
The rally-x basically turned into Ice Racing.
But the snowbanks were big and fluffy, so I was not worred.
It took me a few runs to figure out how to get the car to turn on ice (left foot braking - brakes are GREAT!!).
Once I had that down, the day was a blast. I was drifting around corners like the guys in Imprezas, and the LSD really hooks the car out of corners (the Blizzak WS-50's help).
I DID get stuck ON a snowbank at one point, had to be towed off, the grill was full of snow, and there was a bunch in the engine bay, but it's only snow, so no damage.
I ended up with about 17 runs on the course. A great day of fun.
Then I had the 3 hour drive home.
A great car! I am very VERY happy with my purchase.

WOULD YOU MIND POSTING THE INFO ON THE STEREO SETTINGS. I DON'T HAVE THE CARD AND HAVE LOOKED. TRYING TO SET THE STEREO "BY EAR" DOESN'T REALLY HELP.

tHANKS IN ADVNACE, SORRY FOR THE CAPS.
