congrats juan. did u ever get superproteges car to the track wed?

They went to the track on wednesday, but they were still having clutch problems. They did 13.1 at 15 psi and after that the track was closed since a car blew its engine and left a lot of oil over it. Thet are getting a new clutch setup and will be heading the track next wednesday again

is all of that power on a stock 3 bottom end? Stock or forged thats fantastic. What are your sopporting mods?

This was on 3 inch exhaust, Haltech F10X ECU, 96 lb/hr ibjectors, pauter rods and wiseco 8.5 to 1 CR. Head is still stock but valves, springs and retainers are on my way.

We managed to make a 3.5 MAF sensor housing to test the car at more boost. Well the results are great. 496 WHP out of the 2.3 duractec motor with Gt35R Ball bearing turbo. It is laggier than the IHI, but, WOW it flows.

I was looking for 450 whp, but I was surprised myself. I wanted to boost 24 psi but right at 20 psi the Maf sensor was throwing me again into limp mode. I will make a 3.75 ID MAF sensor housing to try to make it above 500. This was on 3 inch exhaust, Haltech F10X ECU, 96 lb/hr ibjectors, pauter rods and wiseco 8.5 to 1 CR. Head is still stock but valves, springs and retainers are on my way.

I am also running our new manifold with external wastegate port and Garrett/IHI flange.

Hiboost---what type of head studs/bolts are you using? There is a debate on ARP vs. stock TTY bolts. If you are using stock head bolts, then we can safely say that they are good to 500whp since that's where you're at!(thumb)

I dont think the headbolts discussion will really matter in this instance, since this is a 2.3 so who knows the difference

I am using the stock bolts in both my cars, the protege 5 and the Mazda 3.
