isport w/ 3m tape through car wash

i was wondering how the isport cf roof spoiler (thats put on with 3m double side tape) holds up when in a car wash...i need to wash it before winter and its to f-ing cold to do by hand, thanks

Hmmm, I dont think it would do so well, take it off and re apply it... might be safer that way.

I don't think it would if it's one of the jet dryers, You could try a was where you can spray your car with a pressurized gun and then dry by hand it should do fine

ok thanks guys....i was debating this and i came to the same conclusion, ill just go to the spray bays instead of the automatic washes...does anybody know bout roughly how much it costs to do it that way?

It's fine as long as you use the 3m automotive tape, not the foam kind and clean the surface VERY good with alcohol. I've had my spoiler for about 3 months, and wash my car weekly with a pressure washer and so far no signs of the spoiler coming loose.

i used the 3m double sided sticky tape, the red plastic backed kind, and i washed the area with windex then alcohol.....i didnt leave a gap when applying it, i wanted to make sure it would stick...its been sticking for 2 months but i always hand washed my car, just seing if i can run it through an auto car wash with the spinning brush thingys....thanks

If you used the 3M tape you will be fine. That's what its for. If you applied it correctly you should not have a issue.

you should be fine in the splash and scratch car wash as long as the tape was applied properly
