I'm actually going to lower it another inch or so on mine with Eibach springs so no telling how much more i'll feel soon. It's not bad at all right now being stock and if you've ever had any other sports car its not as bad as some other cars.
I used to drive a 94 Probe GT and a 89 Nissan 240sx fastback before the protege5, this car feels like Heaven compared to those two cars of the many i have gone thru.
I'd assume you're referencing strut bars, not sway bars. Did you install a rear? Just curious.... I'd love to do a rear upper... but would like to see pics of one installed first (see how much cargo space is ruined with it in.)

And as to the "bounce," it's not bad til you get on some nice undulated road. Then it really shines.
I'd have to agree with most here though, it rides like it should (firm but not overly harsh.)
I have noticed a bounce in my MP5s step since day one, mostly when driving on overpasses and rought roads. We will see how it is when my Tein S. Techs are installed on Thurs.
I don't have a problem with mine. It rides really good, better than my bro's PT Cruiser.
The suspension is all stock. In fact it rides really good. My other has Eibach Springs on his '02 Mustang GT, it rides basically on air. Mine are stock and they ride like his !
Actually the only problem that I have with the MP5 is the paint. I've only had it since last Nov. and with little less than 3K now and I noticed that the paint was chipped on the driver side door handle.
