just put my grills on. is the location and visibility of the plate legal enough? i know it differs between states, but someone might know.

(and yes, i know something is wrong with my camera. just waiting for the shipping details to send it back. and yes, im aware it looks like you just ate some mushrooms...haha(wiggle) )

lol. your not kidding theres something wrong with the camera.

I think if its readable from a certain distance away then yes it is legal. Look up your local laws and see what it says.

Why not just mount where they already drilled holes in your bumper?

Also, check the laws to see if there is a certain distance that it must be from the ground.

Viz: I had a license plate mounted exactly like that (behind metal grill) on my last car and I got a ticket for it.. the cop said it had to be on the FRONT most part of the car.. not behind ANYTHING regardless if you could read it or not, and also said it's illegal on the dashboard for the same reason.

ps: i am also in MD .. i guess it just depends how strict they want to be.

thanks for the input. i think im just gonna relocate it to the front of the grill.

yea, theyll nail you for that. why not mount it in the same spot, but on the outside. that should be legal.

i found the law for md. click here its under section 13-411 under transportation. so im just gonna put it on the outside, and i should be legal. nothing about height or distance.
