hey i am ready to buy a mazda6 and i have been shopping and comparing lately.. i was just wondering if a 2003 mazda6 with 84k miles for 7995 is a fair deal.. it is in good shape and all that is left is the test drive and payments.

i know that is basically the most important thing but i just wanted to know if something like that would last me awhile (2-3yrs of solid driving)

thankyou

Sounds ok...

Sorry to thread jack, or is it just me, haven't there been a lot of purchase inquiry threads made lately? I guess with the market as depreciated as it is, people who wouldn't buy cars are coming outta the word works I suppose...

As far as this deal though....those miles are kinda high. I always considered myself a "40,000 mile or less" guy. But I don't see why not, you might want to consider purchasing an extended warranty though just in case...

i would ask the seller to perform a tuneup on the car if a large mileage service has not been done yet within 10,000 miles, i know that a 45,000 mile service on my speed is around $800 so its def not something you want to do right away after buying your "new" car. this doesnt mean oil change service, it means EVERYTHING tuned up, spark plugs, alignment, engine flush, tranny fluid swap, you want a car that has a clean slate. with this and the carfax in order go for it. good price fun car. and you can expect 200k miles from it if you do it right.

I'd look for something with 10k miles per year or less. And, like some have said, check the Carfax on the vehicle.
