See the thread "FMIC and airbox installed at BEGi"
I have a FMIC on my car. No numbers yet, but seems to run well.

Yes there is one out there that has been fitted and now we have to get the testing and final directions done for the install. In just a few weeks we should have something. I may have to step that up a bit since we have the others getting something ready as well.

Corksport says theres should be ready around mid april - may. and there seeing 41 hp, and around 70tq at the wheels on a bone stock car they will post dyno results withthe product ont he site, and it will eb set up for a greddy bov, and a blate ot use diffretn stuff, around 1100 for hte bolt up kit.

Seems to me like the TMIC for 550 is the best way to go. Especially if you have trouble with the car and need to go back to stock it's like 15 20 minutes to pull it off. Just my 2 cents.

Seems to me like XEDE + TMIC = 270ish & 300+ to the wheels is good enough. no?

Ill be happy with just a mazdaspeed intake and turboback exhuast, but front mounts are functional and look great

Just purchase the bar and fins from Spearco and have custom end tanks welded. Cheap, custom and will look great.

Just don't go too wide or long on the FM intercooler otherwise you can cause boost lag and PSI drop.

I can attest to that having just taken a ride in it on Sat. Runs beautifully, with little to no noticeable lag. Looks pretty good, for a prototype. Ought to look great with the powder-coating. Of course, Corky and co. have been making intercoolers for Miata's and other cars for years, so no surprise that it runs great. Kind of strange to see the engine w/o the TMIC. Looks like a real engine!

If u can't wait, and don't wanna spend about 1K or a FMIC kit, just use a front mount intercooler from a normal MZ3 highboost kit. the pipe routing is all the same.

I'm leaning this way too. Waiting on a plug n play solution for tuning (XEDE, CP-E, COBB) . I have the MS CAI. Thinking of getting the CP-E downpipe next - they are showing some nice power gains. Not sure but CAI, downpipe and better TMIC maybe enough for this car. I would really like to see a dyno with these 3 mods to the car. This would be $330 + $550 + $600 or $1480 for X hp (50 or 60? is that reasonable ?).

Another thought I have is to wait for the CP-E tuner (sounds like they are getting close) and see what that does for the car, now I'm thinking a better investment for $600 would be the tuner instead of the DP. Just have to keep waiting for now.......
