Is their any msp with sunroof's out their?

my dome light with map lights just got moved back behind the sunroof...the map lights pretty much are usless now for their purpose because of it, but you can still use them...some light is better than no light...I will get better pix as soon as I can...

I'm too lazy to search, but there are pics somewhere here that show a rolled spicy orange speed, and you can clearly see the support beam that kept the roof from caving in. If that car had a sunroof, it would have folded in like an aluminum can. Also, I can see where they would make the roof support different for models that come from the factory with sunroofs.

What does your dome light look like right now? my p5 came with a moonroof and still has a dome light. it has two map lights and the moonroof controls in the front, and a dome light right behind the moonroof.

the dome light on a stock msp is right in the area where a moon roof would be. the dome light and the map lights are in one unit. devilspawn says they just move the light behind the moon roof. i was basically curious if they move the light or removed it. pics would be cool though.

The roof support on the MSP is actually pretty far back from the front of the roof. I don't know much about sunroofs, if they come in a standard size for our car or not, or if they have to be positioned a certain distance away from the windshield. But you can definitely fit a sunroof in the MSP without cutting the support bar. Again, this totally depends on the size and position of the sunroof.

Personally, I would love a sunroof but only if it came factory. If it had to be installed later then I'd be kind of iffy of that.

I bought my car used and I was wondering about the sunroof.

I have a sunroof and it is avery nice one. I always thought it was from the factory because of the quality and features.

Now I know why there is no light in the front of the car.

I cannot remember who made it.

It started with an H.. like Hasa or something.

I will let you know.

You could just buy the parts from the dealer made for the Protege5.. map lights in the front, dome light in the back.b

when i purchased my car i already had a moonroof... i love it it doesn't cause huge wind at hwy speeds like the windows do. it is power one button open. i will post the other pictures nxt

these are the last 2 pics hope they gave u a better idea of if u want one or not... i didn't have a choice

i have an idea, coultn't they put a sunroof/moonroof in in Front of the support beam and then have it be one of those that actually comes up about 2 inches and slides back above the roof of the car instead of sliding INTO the roof itself, that would eliminate the need to cut the support beam. i would love to hear feedback on this specifically because the only reason i haven't contimplated one of these is because of all this talk of chassis regidity and support beams.

ediat: something like the one that comes on the stock RX-7 or most hondas (prelude i know for sure.)

There is one structural beam in the MSP's roof, as opposed to 2 in the regular sedan.

i dont have a sunroof, and mine is a 2000 model, i droped my headlinner down to install a tv where the doom light is, anywho, there was only one support bean that was there, it went from the center of the car from pillar to pillar, lookin at that pic of stock ones, it looks like its just a differant headliner and starts right before that support beam.. just my 2 cents

Maybe this is why some cars that definitely have room to fit the moonroof inside the car have it go up and over the roof when it opens.. to avoid wrecking a support beam.

just a fallow up i have no idea what the moon roof cost the previous owner of my car... it was there when i got it

yeah but its going to be ugly that way compared to the ones that slide in. plus, i assume, the wind noise is going to be extreme.
