Is It Just Me...

**** that, I ahte people who ride my ass driving or stopped and i refuse to do it. I actually get angry when my friends ride asses and honk because people are going slow. Just chill the hell out it's probably some 85 year old lady she doesn't deserve taht kind of abuse. Thats my stand anyway.

Worst is when people get on your ass on hills and jsut assume everyone is driving an auto. I don't wanna have to do an uphill burnout just so i dont hit this asshole. I always give tons of room!

I hear ya, but in my case it is usually a man/woman talking on their cell phone with no clue as to what else is going on around them. If you can't talk on the phone and pay attention to the road, then pull the f*** over!!

As for hills, I make sure to give plenty of room....just in case.

I am always rolling back on a hill, well, I guess a slightly raised intersection in Florida, when other people are coming up behind me. I roll, they don't pull so close.

But, I am still working on some sort of in-car driving beam light that I'm mounting inside my rear window. I just gotta find time to fab up the box to put them in.

That is an idea about the peeing rear wiper shooter.

I'm partial to the flames, you don't **** with someone who has fire coming out their exhaust lol.

when people start pulling up behind me i let my car start rolling back a little so they get the hint that I drive a manual...that usually prevents people from getting too close.
I do that, as well, if I'm on a slight hill and can. It will usually keep them back a bit.

This drive me nuts as well but the ironic part is that I do it. Before you flame me, please hear me out. I do it when that car beside you just has to speed up and cut you off only to stop at the red light a few hundred feet away!!! (argh) Once the light turns green I back off and then pass them when I can.

Is it stupid? Yes
Do I know better? Yes
Why then do I do it? For whatever reason I guess it gives me satisfaction that 'I showed them'. (shrug)
I do this as well when someone is just trying to cut me off. But, then again, I don't that close to the guy in front of me to end up in his bumper if he slams on his brakes. It's a satisfaction thing...I hear ya.

There ya go! That's what we need!

People don't expect the person in front of them to roll back. I have gotten good at not rolling back most of the time, but will do it if someone is getting too close.

I hear that...plus if someone brake checks you, you could end up buying them a new bumper or worse. If someone is driving really slow in the fast lane I flash the high beams...if they don't want to move then I'll pass them in the right lane.
I try to stay far enough back for the brake checkers. I don't care to eat their bumper.

They don't need to be on the phone and driving. I haven't seen one person who can drive and talk at the same time. The all become totally engulfed in their conversation and forget to look both ways, etc. It's sad.

Let us know when you get that fabricated. There might be a market for it with the wagon owners. LOL!

I'm one of those guys. But I only do it to people that stop like 20 feet away from the crosswalk. Makes me want to parallel park in front of them before the light turns green.

ROFLMAO!!!! Thanks I almost spit my drink all over my keyboard.

I have actually done something similar to that on my Ninja. They were stopped like a car & a half length behind the line at a light. So I changed lanes and took up the gap. When the light turned green I was through the other crosswalk of the intersection before they crossed the line of the crosswalk we were stopped at.

LMAO! I bet they had no idea WTF was going on either.

yeah, our hatch does make em look closer than they really are. but i've gotten used to that. what pisses me off is when your sitting at a stop light and it barely turns green and the car behind you is already moving forward while your still standing on the break and your both like ten cars back from the light and noone else in front of you has even moved yet. where the hell does he think he's gonna go?! as far as parking, i used to park in the end spot, but only if it's on the passenger side of the car next to me, cuz all cars have drivers but not all have passengers. but i don't have to do that anymore. my wife has a handicap placard.(naughty)

Well, then you get the extra wide spaces now. LOL!

From driving my old 84 Tercel 4wd Wagon, I'm used to the too close feeling. Always bugged the crap out of me, but got used to it after a while.

Its like driving my folks Excursion. Your passenger thinks you are definitly about to hit the light pole in front of you in the parking lot. You oblige them to stop, they go look, and realize there is still 5-6 feet up there to go.

I've only test-driven the P5, so I don't remember how far apart the pedals were.... But in my Terc, for hills, if you put the edge of your right foot on the brake, holding it down, and roll the right edge over onto the accelerator, you'd get enough grunt to get moving with some smooth clutch play and no burning. Considering the Tercel had 62HP and weighed 2400lb or so.... You could always heel-toe it too.

(argh)I've had m p5 for 2 years and I just discovered I have a rear washer fluid squirter OMG LOL(blowup)(silly)(canada)(loser)(cryhard)(smash):'(

(rlaugh)

you could modify your rear window squirter to shoot out and spray people who get too close.

I'm totally going to do that. I have been trying to think of a way to reflect high-beams back at cars (tons of drivers in Texas always use their high-beams), but I couldnt think of a clean way to do it (mirror mounted on the headline with a hinge that could swing down when needed?). This sounds much easier and would give me the same satisfaction and is probably a bit safer.
