Iraqis Beheading Americans

as international LAW POWs cannot be hummiliated no matter what country theyre captivated in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is indeed terrible what happened to Berg...I for one view the picture of his father broken lying in his sons arms, rather then the video, just thinking of all things he must have done for his son, all the love and care, then witness his execution. But before that..this happened http://www.granma.cu/ingles/2004/mayo/lun10/19tortura-i.html it gave an open excuse to Al-qaida members (not like they were not going to do something like this anyway). This took away whatever trust that was left in Iraqis for the US that they are there for freedom of the people and not to exploit their oil. This is very hard for them to forgive in the Arab world, let alone collateral damage.

There are no winners in war, only casualties. Deliberation is the hardest war of all. If that doesn't work, then drop the MOAB on there asses for all I care. My heart goes out to my fellow Marines serving over there, come home safe. Semper Fidelis Devil Dogs.

It's sad...terribly sad...but nobody should be over there "rebuilding" unless they're with the military. It's an active war zone...there's no "front line," so there's nowhere that's safe. I feel awful for his family, but he looked at it as an "adventure." You roll the dice...you pay the price.

America is not guilt-free, but all these countries that hate us also get aid from us. Your tax money!!! Every country that harbors, or is proven to support, terrorism should have their ambassador and aid removed immediately. If we're so evil, then they should be better off without us, right?

This is a very ****** up situation that will not get better anytime soon, and there is no easy answer. But anybody that has studied history, or socialogy, will understand that if we leave now there will be a vacuum of power that will be immediately occupied by the next biggest militia. These clerics have a lot to lose with a democratic government, so they're fighting against it. Only when the people truly rule themselves can we say our job is done.

I'm hoping historians will look back on this as a positive event in history, and not just another US cluster-****.

This what we all hope.

I've seen the whole video, there was a link to it on honda-tech. It made me feel sick to my stomach, its horrible that that was done to an innocent.

It's ironic how people can suggest carpet bombing or nuking the Iraqis to end the war. I thought every high school graduate learned about the awful consequences that still plague Japan today from our WWII bombing. And beside the physical destruction, it mystifies me that people don't understand violence doesn't solve violence. We invade your country, you light your neighbors oil wells on fire. We beat your people, you behead ours. It's a never ending cycle, and don't count on the Iraqis ending it.

I can also remember people telling me one of the reasons we went to war was because Saddam and his posse were killing innocent Iraqis. Now some of us suggest carpet bombing and others suggesting letting them kill each other off....

I agree, especially the post above yours. This whole thing is a big fuckup. War profiteering. I really don't agree with what's going on, i don't blame the Iraqi's for what a few extremists are doing. I wish the world would value every life a bit more.....

i love how its my people. maybe when someone crashes a ******* plane into your biggest building and kills a bunch of innocents, or when they behead a canadian then you will feel a lil diff. i like quite a few members on this board form canada but im sorry. i think that comment was just straight up rude. Like canada is so ******* perfect aye? im not trying to turn this into a us vs canada thread.. BUT.. if someone ever invades your country.. and u have your army that fits in a hatchback for pinto and your mounties.. and they are getting their ass kicked.. id be willing to bet anything it will be the us army to bail u out.

What war have you ever been in soilder boy? my dad served in vietnam and was captured and tortured. i have a friend that was shot 3 times in iraq AFTER he put his weapon down.. maybe u dont get the fact that hey.. NO ONE FOLLOWS THE ******* LAWS.. not nato, not us, not vietnam, not korea, not iraq. no one. that law means jack s***. the law only means s*** to people that know dick about the spoils of war and the ******* tree huggers.
Let me explain to you how war works. it is based on a eye for an eye principal. until one side suffers so much loss that it can no longer continue to fight. if someone had just shot your fellow cannadians.. and they were locked in a cel u were guarding you telling me your bake them cookies an talk about oprah with em? thats bulls***. i wouldnt just have been taking pictures i would have been doing much worse morbid things..because in the back of your head it will always be.. could this be the guy that killed so and so from my unit? i applaud our military.. for taking all the hsit they do. .and only doing that to those pieces of s***. i remember my dad telling me in vietnam alot of units worked on the idea that the only good pow was a dead pow. so in my eyes. yeah. its not that bad. they got humiliated big fuckig deal.. have you ever been in a fight and knocked someone out and spit in their face? have you ever been a fight? anykind of real conflict other than FORUM WARS?
soilders go into war with the idea they may not make it home.. period.. what ever happens happens. and that guy wasnt a soilder. he thought he was going home so its ****** up. what do you think they do to our captured soilders over there? like all the people they captured with jessica lynch that they found dead.. isnt that against your rules of war there too?
im not saying you have to believe me or even agree with me. but dont be so ******* biast and closed minded. next time my buddy is here ill post pics of the 3 rounds that went thru his body after he laid his weapon down to be captured.. then after you see that maybe we can talk about war and how u know so much about it.

Whatever side you take, you need to realize 3 things:

1) The Iraqis did not murder Nick Berg. Sure, some of them might have been of Iraqi origin, Zarqawi is Jordanian. Either way, it doesn't represent the people of Iraq.

2) No matter how insignifigant the torture/humiliation of the Iraqi prisoners seems, try telling that to the people we said "we're here to help, we want a free Iraq, we're ending Saddam's reign of torture" to. To them, it looks like more of the same - Iraqi prison torture. The U.S. *has* lost a majority of its credibility in this mission to free Iraq with this scandal. Plain and simple.

3) Saying "blow them off the face of the planet" is incredibly ignorant, and incredibly stupid. You think the 1.2billion muslims in the world would be happy with the U.S. leveling Iraq? You don't think that would cause more hate against the U.S. and cause even a tiny portion of those 1.2billion to become terrorists and fly planes into our buildings?

Maybe there's a reason the terrorists attacked us and not the Canadians.

Must read story about American General "BlackJack" Pershing a his dealing with muslim terrrorists.

Just before World War I, there were a number of terrorist attacks on the United States forces in the Philippines by Muslim extremists. So Gen. Pershing captured 50 terrorists and had them tied to posts for execution. He then had his men bring in two pigs and slaughter them in front of the now horrified terrorists. Muslims detest pork because they believe pigs are filthy animals. Some of them simply refuse to eat it, while others won't even touch pigs at all, nor any of their by-products. To them, eating or touching a pig, its meat, its blood, etc., is to be instantly barred from paradise (and those virgins) and doomed to hell. The soldiers then soaked their bullets in the pig blood, and proceeded to execute 49 of the terrorists by firing squad. The soldiers then dug a big hole, dumped in the terrorists' bodies and covered them in pig blood and entrails. They let the 50th man go. And for the next forty-two years, there was not a single Muslim extremist attack anywhere in the world. Maybe it is time for this segment of history to repeat itself? The question is, where do we find another Blackjack Pershing?

Canada has 30 million people and the US has 350-400 million people. Of course we don't have much of an army. A country with 30 million people CANNOT build an army like the US can. We don't have the manpower or the money. The tax would kill us. But it doesn't mean we don't involve ourselves and help out as much we can. As for what happened at 9/11 we Canadians felt as much for the people who died as the Americans just as if it happened to us. That how close our two countries are.. We did join the US and other countries to attack Afghanistan and in fact we stayed to clean up the mess. We knew who caused 9/11 and were more than happy to help iliminate that threat. But the fact is Iraq had nothing to do with those terrorist attacks. The reasons for attacking Iraq were wrong and its just not Canadians who think that, by the way not all Canadians are against this war just like Americans. What bothers me most, but to be honest haven't seen much of this in this thread but in previous threads it happened alot, is that when an American posts against the war you tell them to get the **** out and go live somewhere else. Or if a Canadian express their opinion against the war then its how we don't support the US and how bad are army is. There is a thing called freedom of speech, it is what our countries are built on. You can't be saying you are defending our freedom if you don't allow us that freedom. Everybody supports the soldiers but not everybody supports the war.

As for the American soldiers torturing and abusing prisoners, I hope they are severely tried and punished. Even though I don't believe in this war the fact is they are there now and we must deal with it. The soldiers should now that anything they do will be used against them by the Iraqis. This is what they want to happen so they can tell all the muslims and countries around the world how bad the US is. These pictures, in their eyes, allows them to justify their actions against the US to the world.

I just hope that Bush can do something right for once and get the American soldiers out of Iraq in July. Somehow I don't think this will happen and the worse is yet to come.
