This what we all hope.mcstark said:I'm hoping historians will look back on this as a positive event in history, and not just another US cluster-****.
Mike R said:I agree, especially the post above yours. This whole thing is a big fuckup. War profiteering. I really don't agree with what's going on, i don't blame the Iraqi's for what a few extremists are doing. I wish the world would value every life a bit more.....
Maybe there's a reason the terrorists attacked us and not the Canadians.mypfizzle said:i love how its my people. maybe when someone crashes a ******* plane into your biggest building and kills a bunch of innocents, or when they behead a canadian then you will feel a lil diff.
Canada has 30 million people and the US has 350-400 million people. Of course we don't have much of an army. A country with 30 million people CANNOT build an army like the US can. We don't have the manpower or the money. The tax would kill us. But it doesn't mean we don't involve ourselves and help out as much we can. As for what happened at 9/11 we Canadians felt as much for the people who died as the Americans just as if it happened to us. That how close our two countries are.. We did join the US and other countries to attack Afghanistan and in fact we stayed to clean up the mess. We knew who caused 9/11 and were more than happy to help iliminate that threat. But the fact is Iraq had nothing to do with those terrorist attacks. The reasons for attacking Iraq were wrong and its just not Canadians who think that, by the way not all Canadians are against this war just like Americans. What bothers me most, but to be honest haven't seen much of this in this thread but in previous threads it happened alot, is that when an American posts against the war you tell them to get the **** out and go live somewhere else. Or if a Canadian express their opinion against the war then its how we don't support the US and how bad are army is. There is a thing called freedom of speech, it is what our countries are built on. You can't be saying you are defending our freedom if you don't allow us that freedom. Everybody supports the soldiers but not everybody supports the war.mypfizzle said:i love how its my people. maybe when someone crashes a ******* plane into your biggest building and kills a bunch of innocents, or when they behead a canadian then you will feel a lil diff. i like quite a few members on this board form canada but im sorry. i think that comment was just straight up rude. Like canada is so ******* perfect aye? im not trying to turn this into a us vs canada thread.. BUT.. if someone ever invades your country.. and u have your army that fits in a hatchback for pinto and your mounties.. and they are getting their ass kicked.. id be willing to bet anything it will be the us army to bail u out.
as international LAW POWs cannot be hummiliated no matter what country theyre captivated in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
