iPod install on a 2008 MS3???

OK, I did search and I asked Qs at stores. I......am lost. I have an 08 Speed3 sport with the single CD radio and no Nav unit. I have a new 4G iPod nano that I would like to use in my car. I want to be able to use the steering wheel audio controlls and see the songs on the LCD display that is on the radio.
I was looking at the AudioLink and the Axxess that the RPM store sells. I guess the Axxess does all the things I want but takes over full controll of the iPod at all times?? What the heck does that meen?? And the AudioLink doesn't display the songs on the LCD display. I do not have sat radio and never will. I will never have a tape/MD unit in the car either.
So..........what do I use that will allow me to hook my dang iPod into my car, use the radio controlls on the wheel and see the songs on my LCD??

I dont think any of them will let you see the song yet, not with our headunits anyway. But I could be wrong. I dunno if any new products came out since I last looked.

Ill be getting the audiolink when I decide the time is right.

meaning that it takes full control of the ipod, justmeans that the screen says "do not disconnect" and you cant use any of the buttons or anything.
