ION Intake Dynos 24 whp over stock at 4750RPMs

Take it easy itz_alan, noone's yelling at you. Thats cool that you are a noob. Some of this stuff is hard to understand. I am learning about turbos in general myself as I am a noob to them.

Thanks for the dyno charts ION. :)

At peak RPM the intake cam of the MSP can't keep up with the amount of air that's available, hence peak values are lower.

Is there anyway to stop this? Replace the cam or better one?

i just baselined my msp, turbo back and sri and fmic to come soon with dynapack runs...if you wanna see my baseline i hit 145.3 at 5595 rpm.....website in sig...go to project msp section....

itz_alanIn-house testing has shown on our various cars we used for R&D ~30whp maximum gain @ stock boost levels with our true full turbo-back system. It also broadened the hp & torque curves substantially and eliminated any sort of turbo lag.

That might be true, but there people waiting for 4 months to get their exhausts.......;)
I guess good things happen to those who wait, but I have no patient!!

I was thinking that maybe the increased air leaned out the a/f ratio, resulting in lots of mid range power. Could this be the case at all? It looks like the a/f goes rich a little later if i'm reading it right (so many damn lines). I'll be picking up the mag tomorrow.

EDIT: And btw, thanks for posting this. I didn't realize the new mag was out yet.

yes the changed a/f ratios can result in power since it seems to stay lean longer like you mentioned(which is why i asked for the a/f ratios before and after)...basically if you tuned the car with a wideband to the same a/f ratio shown in the dyno the outcome might be the same..(maybe better)

i think anything the lets our motor breath will see nice gains......i cant wait to see what a fmic, sri, and turbo back can do.......

And this article was in Turbo and HIgh Tech Performance?..... Cause i can't find it.

im stopin by B&N tomorroe to see..i got the issue project issue they did......but ill hopefully have real world non biased dyno runs in a week or two......

AutoBox - Your results will definately be different for several reasons (1) different car (2) different location (3) different climate (4) different parts.

The dyno runs were done independantly by Turbo Magazine. We have our own testing during the R&D phases as well. Thus far the results yielded by Turbo Magazine have followed the same increasing trends as our testing in R&D. All #'s are relative, you want to take a look at the absolute values.
