2009 MGM speed3
Alright!! My name is Dennis // I live in South Jersey // New 09 MGM owner here. Owned my Speed about 34 days now. Been on another site that is more crude and off the wall... Learning about this car and already have TWO minor bolt ons and different wheels ready to go on.. Yea, I am one of the Old timers 51yrs that forgot to grow up. Looking forward to this forum, not new to forums either!!

Everyday it's a learning experience with this car . First turbo car I owned, well if you don't consider the 86 Dodge Daytona with a turbo(sad2) My other ride is a 10 second Vortech charged 1995 Ford Lightning Truck. After weighting the odds I went with a CP-e Xcel cai and CP-e Rear MM and got some 7 spoke wheels in a stock size waiting to go on. I just put the CAi and MM on Monday!! Yes I love those 2 mods (kissass)

congrats on ur purchase, any pics of that lightning???. one thing to remember with this car in particular, never go WOT below 3k...and short shift at 5500-6k, anywhere above that and the car's out of breath

yes learned that early about 5650 the party is over, with the CAI it seems to maybe pull a little longer maybe 100 RPM further. I try to shift below 6K but as you know if your not paying attention you could swing past 6K fast.. Yes the warnings about cyclender preasure, CR, rod strenth, knock and lugging I have read about Kinda scary at first BUT hey that the facts, Gonna try and drive this car RIGHT and not loose sleep over the Big Bang Theory(cheers)

Dont lose sleep over it, im sure many have done something accidental (mis-shift) and caused the engine to puke its guts out and just dont tell anyone. Once you get a tune if you get that far into modding the party continues to redline, im currently running 20psi at the moment and the car runs like a champ. as for the part throttle knock, a well known tuning company concluded that it was simply timing corrections, nothing more.

treat her right and she rewards you well (drive), beat on her and she'll snap back (blowup)

Welcome Dennis! 34 days and 2 upgrades, don't waste any time do you? LOL What other plans do you have for her so far?! Post pics when you get the wheels on too! And where in South Jersey are you located? Im in Jackson!

Welcome aboard. Sounds 'bout par for the course. I put my Cobb SRI on at forty days and 1,300 miles. The Forge BPV at 60 days and 2,600 (kilomile road trip in there). Yes, there are some horribly immature people on some forums.

Post the pics when you can.

My 09 and my truck the red on in the front I live near Bridgeton/Vineland I had a party on the 11th and it was a blast I have many pics BUT it's on my laptop this (D) drive if not working properly

Hey I'm 47 so there are a few of us old guys loving the little wagon. I also owned a Dayton Turbo. Mine was a 1984 silver with black stripe and pizza wheels. Mine was a POS so I cut my loses and sold it after a year. It spent too much time in the shop. Your off to a good start with the mods. If you do much more you will want to get a dash hawk or scan gauge to see what she is doing and one step colder plugs would be a good idea also.
