Interior Light Control Unit

Hi, i have a 1999 Protege, the interior light does not work on "doors opening" only when switched to "always on". I have also noticed the "doors open" on the instrument panel does not work. I have dropped the centre dome light and all connections and switch operation seems fine, checked all door switches which also seem fine. I looked up a wiring diagram and it mentions an interior light control unit, does anyone know where this is and what colour it is? Many many many thanks in advance.

How are the sensors on the doors? It could also be a fuse

hi, i have checked all door switches and they seem fine, i assume the fuses are fine as the interior light in "on" position works but checked all of them anyway and they are good. i have even checked the blue/white wire behind the dash as discused in other threads to stop the buzzer/door open and i also checked the conection behind the ignition switch also used to stop door buzzer and they are all connected. loks like i need a wiring diagram, any advice much appreciated.
