intercooler

Ok this might sound weird, but I am thinking to put a front mount intercooler (one that goes into the front end) on my p5. This is just for the looks, so I will only need the front piece that doesn't need to be functional. Anyone knows where to find something like this? Don't laugh at me, I just really like the look

Why would you want a non functional intercooler when you don't have a turbo. That sounds hella rice comparable to at tip on a stock muffler.

I guess I've crossed the fine line of the rice land In my own little defense, I am not trying to fool anyone that I have a turbo installed or anything. I am not going to stick a turbo sticker + Vtech emblem + turbo timer and wannabe items like these, I just really like how they look. I've always tried to keep my car as clean and as rice-free as possible. I will post some pics of my ride soon, once it's cleaned Thanks to those that still cared to reply.

Oh hell no. I would watch out for guy's that will b****-slap you after ythey ask to see your engine then you say, "oh, the intercooler is just for looks." Come on man, you need to think about that one again.

Well, that is exactly what your doing. putting a fake/ non functional intercooler is no better then a civic DX with a Type-R emblem.

You always could go APC style and get one of those front mount "COld air Intakes" I saw a guy in a integra driving around with one of those he thought he was the s***. Then I saw him try to race a camero and he got his ass kicked

You could probably get a similar appeal with a nice grill and not risk the rice comments.

If your going to do this then I would buy the intercooler upgrade from www.spool-turbo.com Atleast that way you can always add the real thing later. Also the intercooler kit from Terry @ www.spool-turbo.com is already fitted to our cars.

Thanks guys. I think my idea is a bit too wacky and probably "ricey" to most people. I might just call the whole thing off. I was suggested to get some front mount CAI, havn't been able to find one that's large enough yet though. Which upgrade for the spool intercooler? I am still looking for it. I guess getting a real functional intercooler and later, if ever, a turbo can go on might work. But again, I am sure the "rice-boy" comments will be all over the board before the turbo goes on. I am not even sure if it's worth the investment to throw a turbo on a p5. I don't know, what do you guys think?

I forgot were but some company makes a kit called Intercooler affect and its a grill that looks like a intercooler but it is just a grill. Well yea you could make a custom CAI???? IT cant be that hard.
