Intercooler oil temp

Being new to the turbo realm ,and glad to be here thank you very much, why don't we use oil coolers ? For turbo feed oil or exit sides.

oil to coolant cooler.

At times during the warmup, it is actually an oil heater, but that's OK.

It is really small and I cannot imagine dumping that much oil heat to 200+ coolant. I think an oil to air cooler would be good, but only if it were thermostatically controlled (while I am wishing). Cold oil is almost as bad for the engine as overtemp oil. I would like to know what oil temps actually run on this car.

we had begun testing an external, thermostatic valve controlled oil cooler on a mazda3 with the intention of transferring it to the mazdaspeed vehicles. we scrapped it because the parts we were using were frankly junk. we were trying to make it cheap for everyone but i'm not willing to sacrifice quality to that end. when it gets warmer here we'll revisit the idea if people really want it.
