You've got PM! *ding!* =)
BlkZoomZoom said:damn....what happened to my thread...gone for 3 days....sheesh.
Focus- not exactly sure what you mean by hitting a brick wall...did you actually look at the port design?? How do you think your going to improve it? It is "almost" perfect port match, and hardly any hard radius bends. That being said a 5 angle valve job would flow almost 6% more (i think thats the factor). Also I don't think I would've touched the area around the injector tip, unless you know how the air is expected to flow onto the tip (I know I don't).
Also amazing 60' time!!! What the hell kindove tires are you running?? It's kina sad I ran a 13.98 @ 102mph on street tires, with the slicks, luggage for 3days, and 1/2tank of gas in the car....@ 9-10psi, last night. With all those "mods" you think you would get some better times..
How the heck did you pull that off? My block and head was 750 and that was a damn good deal I thought! 100 for both the block and head???? what is wrong with it or who did you (blowjob)MSP Chris said:I was able to get my hands on a head and block for 100..woot for me
little late in response..but..awesome man..you coming out to the nepoc bbq on oct 10th?BlkZoomZoom said:spicymc- I'm not going to be running the MSP anymore. It's beat all my expectations, and I'm pretty sure not many people thought one of these would run 13.40's with so many stock parts and add to that 2.2 60's. I'm seriously thinking about selling the scamp, but until I do I might as well get some use out of it. If I do get rid of the scamp, then a thumper kit would definetly be in the plans, and a reliant k car station wagon...w/super 60.
the mp3 manifold doesn't have the shutter valves, however it doesn't take more than 10mins to remove them....
I wasn't going to do anything else before the intake manifold...I'm hoping I can stop. But the chance to go low 13.'s is so interesting.
Eventually I will swap out the GT25 and put a GT30 in it's place. But for now it can still be used as a daily driver.BlkZoomZoom said:Focus- Wow.....what the hell do you need that much fuel for? I take it this isn't your daily driver anymore? I think someone needs a real project car...lol.
as much as I find square stock valuble to make s*** out of, I gotta give even more props to the zip-tie mod...flat_black said:Nice secondary fuel rail. =) Extruded aluminum rocks. Hehee.
L.O.L. The zip tie is to remind that the holes on the end need to be welded up.RyanJayG said:as much as I find square stock valuble to make s*** out of, I gotta give even more props to the zip-tie mod...
gotta love it![]()
I was thinking of maybe anodizing it.are you going to take it apart when done and poish (or brush) the fuel rail?
I also think it could benefit asthetically from a little easy mill work.
either way, great do it yourself mod.. extra injectors can do great things for your idle in high HP apps.
Maybe that would be a better option!!!RyanJayG said:that would look great, but anodizing isn't cheap for single pieces. in bulk its great.... not trying to disuade you or anything, but just warning you.
what about powder coating?
The 1.8L and 2.0L's share the same head...and therefor the same intake manifold...peepsalot said:Does the 2000 protege 1.6L have the same intake manifold as the 2.0? I heard that the 1.8L would be the same, since it only has a longer stroke, but I havent found info on the 1.6
I'm trying to find a spare manifold somewhere locallly for cheap, and I need to know what will work. Thanks
