Due to my family moving to GA and me to IA, I had month without insurance.(insurance expired during moving time and they didn't cover IA...and it was some cheap insurance company(Universal Casuailty)
Last week, I finally got statefarm insurance for $1100 for 6month and called them yesterday to confirm if my insurance card has been sent out
and they told me I was refused, due to 2 speeding ticket within 3 year...
allstate quoted me $1700...because I didn't have insurance for month...

do you guys know where I can get better insurance premium?
:'(

you can call an independant agent. kinda like a broker for insurance. and ask them to find you an insurance company. i have heartford group insurance. i pay 110 a month and i have 2 tickets and one wreck in 3 years

do you mean by calling allstate or statefarm agents? ask them if they know any other insurance company?

try allstate...dont tell them you have tickets...since you moved, do what i did...i had my license suspended 6 times in pennsylvania before i joined the army for constantly speeding...i also had two wrecks, though neither was my fault, i still had to make claims. when i moved to oklahoma, like you just moved to iowa, get a new license and plates for your car. it may cost you a little bit of money, but then call up an insurance company like allstate and say you have had no tix or wrecks...IF they even check, theyll check your iowa license and plates. thats what i did and i can assure it works...before i changed the military insurance quote 1800 every six months, now my wife AND i pay full coverage on two newer (hers is a 2000) vehicles, plus renters insurance for 150 bucks a month.

yeah... calling an agent usually gives you better rates. i went with progressive for my first year online and they gave me a rate of 1361 for 6 months. after i got rear ended, they didn't lower my rates, even after talking to a local agent. they said that since i still have a pending case, my rates will stay the same. normally though, they will give return customers a better rate after a year. she said my rates would have gone down to 990 for 6 months without the accident, which was deemed naf. damn woman with no insurance. screw her!

Razorp5, that's what i had in my mind but I wasn't sure if that works or not.
but, statefarm did know I had car accident in 5yrs ago, when I was driving civic with different plate number...
oh...I see, it was probably my license I'm using right now.
thank you razorp5, I will go ahead and get new license and plate.

no, my car was sitting at my friend's house. but I drove when I was moving to IA . :(

you should be good...let me know how it goes...keep in mind that insurance companies keep a record so if you tell them you got a new plate and license they will remember your old s*** at the insurance company, so youll have to get a new one.

I have progressive. I am in the military, and told them that and it made my insurance go down. I have 2 new cars, and a motor cycle. My p5, and yamaha R6 and my wifes honda civic. we pay 150/m

Well check out how sucky it is in PA...

I'm 22, with one ticket for seatbelt... no accidents... I was quoted at one insurance company for over $8K a YEAR! Is that ridiculous or what?!?!

(ripped) sure...

I pay $375/6 months for the p5 and like $650/6 months for the Integra. You can usually get a discount if you're in school and get good grades.

I'd be careful trying to fool the insurance companies, getting busted for fraud is worse than paying higher premiums.

Just checked out esurance.com... good quote! Anyone have any experience with them?
