Instuctions On How To Install Tein Springs

nice, good luck with that. I was thinking of getting a better front sway bar instead of the stock (in addition to the AWR swaybar and endlinks), but from the how-tos and peoples comments it sounds like its a bit complicated and I really dont wanna deal with that.

Doesnt seem too bad to me all the bolts are pretty easy to get to I say its just as easy if not easier as the rear motor mount lol.

I havent even tried doing the motor mounts, to affraid of not being able to get it done and then breaking something else in the process. Let us now how it goes with the front swaybar install, if more people come out and say its pretty easy I might do it. (not 100% sure though)

i had no problem getting that bolt off.... i really think its how you go @ it.... i had Ratcheting Wrenches and used a hammer and broke the tightness.... Then i got it off easily..... i also replaced my front sway bar... which was a pita.

it depends on their condition, i live in canada and drive in salt, mud or snow, or salty mud, or salty snow. when i put a hex key in the bolts head, the sides of the hex just crumbled.

I got a couple questions..
First, I'm stuck on step one.. take the rear deck off.
Where is the rear deck at?
Do I have to take the wheels offf?

hehehe, I'm hoping you're joking buddy, cause if you aint it may get a little difficult for you. The rear deck is just that, its the whole are below the rear glass. You'll need to fold the rear seats and you'll see the 5-6 plastic screws(?) that need to be removed, then lay down on top of the folded rear seats and look at the under side of the rear deck and you'll see these little pegs that you need to push up to dislodge the rear deck. After that yes you will need to remove the wheels in order to change springs.

What if the wheels are stuck on.. Is there any thing I can do to them to make them easier to loosen or get off..
(NOT joking)

you'll have to push and pull. After getting all the lugnuts off and having the tire raised, grab one end of the wheel and push and pull it for a bit, then do the same at the other end of the wheel.

to remove the rear deck you need to fold the rear seats, no need to remove the seats. About the lug nuts, not sure, maybe spray them with WD-40 or something like it and use a breaker bar with the tool for removing the lug nuts.

I have got a question. When you loosen the four bolts on top of the strut doesnt the whole assembly just kind of forcefully pop out? I tried taking my springs off before. Was it the fact that I did not take off the sway bar endlink that kept the tension on the spring and strut? I know this sounds dumb. This was like two years ago, just wondering because I am fixing to go with coilovers.

Well, you should take off the swaybar endlinks or you run the risk of breaking them off. The strut assembly wont pop off because you should still have that 1 nut in the center that cold the strut on the upper strut mount and holds down the spring. The 4 outer bolts are used for holding the strut assembly on the car.

why do you compress the spring to take it off? i thought you take off the old spring, then you compress the new spring so you have enough room to screw the thing on top down?

well the old spring isnt under that much pressure but you can run the risk of having the nut shoot off when unscrewing.
