I recently purchased a Unichip from ProtegeGarage.
I'm aware that the Unichip comes with a boost controller, but that it's rather sub-par. I'd prefer to go out and pick up something along the lines of a GReddy Profec-B, but money is rather short.
Seeing as power isn't my main priority (stability and reliability is key), I'd rather just have the Unichip clean up the bad ECU, and leave the boost be.
Is this a viable option? Simply not install the included boost controller?
Thanks.
Drew.
