installing spool springs tom. around 11 am.

I am installing my springs tomorrow, any help of any sort would be great. I have had these for about 2 months now. finally they will be on. For those of you that have installed them, what kind of problems did you run into, and what bits of advice can you give me to maqke the install go smoothly. I will be printing out the HOW TO and bringing it with me.

oh. also any thing that i need to know that differs from the how to, because that is on a P5 if there is a sedan owner who has installed springs can you explain how to remove the rear deck? any hidden screws or clips that might make the job go smoother.

I installed mine and it went smooth. We didn't even use a spring compressor on the fronts, just some clamps. They are NOT that compressed to begin with, but for safety reasons, I would have used them if it was just myself doing it. The guy that helped me out had balls I guess. I stood back because I feared everything I heard on the board, and when he took the piston nut off the guy was like "Is that the explosion people were talking about?" .

To get at the rears you must fold the back seats down and remove the little clips on the rear deck (6?), as well as each rear side door panel (2). Then you slide the rear deck off and onto the seats and just need to pull at the door panel ones a bit to access the 3 bolts for each strut. Definitely easier than I thought it would be.

I cannot give a final opinion yet as the rears are starting to make noise. I know its not the springs. The noise is a popping/rattle which probably indicates we didn't seat them properly or didn't tighten that damn swaybar down enough. I'll let you know when I get the straightened out. But by then you'll probably be spooling .

well, the install got put off again. hoppefully this week. I put my amp in instead. I have acess to a lift, but we have conflicting schedules.
