Install Subs & Amp With Fact. H/u

Well, couldn't see much, too dark. From the quick peek of things, there are wires covered in either electric tape, or shrink wrap that will need to be unwrapped in order to wire in some RCA type connections. Unless I'm missing something here. I'll have to take a look again tomorrow when it's daylight out.

do you have any suggestions as to what line output converter is good for a semi modest setup?
maybe an amp and sub pushing like 350 watts rms?

I'm new to the world of amping and subbing a factory headunit, ive always had aftermarket.

I suggest an LOC from davidnavone.com Give Dave a call. He is helpful and his products are good. I have used them twice without any noise issues.

BTW, the LOC just takes the speaker outs from the factory "radio" and converts them so you can feed them into your amp. The amps wattage doesn't matter. I would wire it into your front speaker outputs.

Are you saying I can hook up a Class D mono amp; along with a supplied power source, and use the signals from a provided RCA output there to push another sub in the hatch of my GT?

I'm going to have to investigate my sub woofer location..... I JUST saw it today underneath my passenger side seat the location of the sub. lol

::goes to investigate these outputs real quick::

so we're talking the same language, RCA is a type of connector. So, the wires to connect RCA's are below your drivers seat, at the BOSE amp. To make things easier, I recommend removing the driver's seat. Four bolts and a couple of wiring harnesses...

Once the seat is out, you will see the wiring harnesses for the inputs and outputs to the Bose amp. The harness with the inputs is the one with the smaller gauge wires. There should be 9 of them. One is the amp turn on lead, the other 8 are the 4 pairs of inputs to the bose amp. I would tap a pair out RCAs onto the front channels and I would tap into the amp turn on lead, feed that back to your sub.

There are other wires under there for the seat airbags and stuff like that. There are also wires that go from the bose amp (drivers seat) to the bose "subwoofer" (passenger seat).

Pull the driver's seat and you'll see what I'm talking about. You can't see the wires to the Bose amp because they are hidden by the shelf/amp itself. They come from under the floor carpet. You might be able to see them from behind the driver's seat.
