I currently have a system in my car that I am very satisfied with, except for the amount of room it takes up. Here is a pic:

I am looking for some suggestions on how I might be able to set this up a little better, because I now need to fit a baby stroller in the back

The current depth of the box, subs and grill is 9.5". I need it lowered by about 1.5" to get the stroller to fit on top of it and the trunk to be able to close, just for reference. Any creative ideas on how to maybe rearrange things to fit better, or am I just out of luck and need to remove the subs?

a buddy of mine has a single 15" in a false floor. using part of the spare tire well to sink the sub down.

I think that would be the only way to save room vs that setup. except maybe to get subs that require less volume.. iirc Kickers need a lot

y'kno what I think might look good if you want to stay away form glassing and keep with a similar style falsefloor is to sell me your amp forlike $5 and then angle mount the subs in the corners behind the whelwells (sorta pointing up/inward a bit) might be a healthy bit of carpentry, though. Oother option would be to pull your spare, and sink them bastards down further... Of course selling me your amp is implied in that aswell.

And then there's the fiberglass option...

how about you trade me...

you're entire setup for my rockin' basslink? lol

hey! you'll save space. i fit my stroller plus all the baby bags & diapers you'd ever need:)

Why is everyone crying over my Mac amp running my entire system???

I know the kickers aren't the greatest subs, but they fit my budget and the amp I got at half price because it was a display model at the Mac factory (never actually powered up, just displayed). My system still sounds good playing all the different types of music I listen to, and hits hard enough when it needs to.

JL's aren't thatmuch more, ID's got a couplefew decent subs for the buck... Damn right I'm crying. kickers were never known for sounding clean. What are you running upfront?

WHat kinda deal'd you get on that Mac BTW if you don't mind me asking? half price is ASTOUNDING. those things rarely even lose value.

When I priced the subs, JL's were alot more than the kickers I baught. And what do you mean by ID? Is that another brand?

I baught the Mac about 8 or 9 years ago. If I remember right, they were selling new for about $1200 and I got mine for about $600. It is a 4/3/or 2 channel amp. I have the front two channels running a set of JBL components in the front doors, and the back two channels running the two subs. This provides a good enough sound for my taste along with enough bass for my taste.
