In my travels for inspiration for my own car, I trawl the net looking for unique Cosmo's to take set-up cues from. I thought that it would be great to start a photo-thread for Cosmo's which have inspired your own builds and share the info with others. Here are a few to get the ball rolling.

Here is a widebodied track racing Cosmo from J-land. I can't seem to find much more info on it, so if anyone has some leads then it would be really appreciated.

It's pretty amazing at how close the final production model looks in comparison of the design sketches. I really dig the second image.

In the meantime, here is more track Cosmo love.

When it comes to inspiration...how about some paintings?(cheers)
So grand and so classy that its comparable with the painting of a yacht on the sea(yippy)

Actually I got a few more, sadly I lost them after changing my laptop

These nice paintings seemed to be from a special journal 'I Love Cosmo'
in the early 90s, a Dutch Cosmo fansite told me about that

I want this journal badly and I am willing to pay for it!

Off the yahoo Japan auction site sometimes there are some paintings for sale, they said they were promotion stuff. Digital form is enough for me though, so I 'snatched' this(bolt)

Thanks to the guys on top for posting those nice pics of Cosmos on track!

Ahhh, the blue one from NZ!

Do you have any more pictures of it? I have only got a couple of it sitting in the pits. I haven't been able to figure out if it is for grip or drift?

I am pretty sure that it is meant to be a fuel cell filler. Although judging by the full leather interior, I doubt this car sees much use for it.

In the meantime...

After seeing the photos you guys posted, most of them unseen before
I could just say to myself
Gosh,do I relly know how to use google and
how much do I know about Cosmo?(attn)

(ohsnap!) I thought I was the only one who collected EC pics for inspiration...Haha...Man, we EC enthusiasts really do think alike...Awesome call on posting this thread, Berty! (2thumbs)

I've been collecting pics even before I got my Cosmo...I must have over 500 pics from the net now backed-up on a hard drive...Despite such a collection...I'm delighted to see ones here that I have NEVER seen before like...

I'm definitely going to "sticky" this thread and spruce up the title (Inspirational Cosmo Pics)...Now time to post up some of my favorites...Keep 'em coming, Gentlemen! :D

Wild...I've seen that one before...You can tell those pics were from back in the day...Looks like a totally custom kit...Someone spent big bucks on that look!

even more Cosmo love to explore!(drive2)

No doubt! I've got the minkara search page for blog updates always open so that I can easily check what's new from time to time...:D

Have you guys seen this v-mount setup? I may have posted it in my thread because I was thinking of running a v-mount setup before but since then, I've changed my mind...I want to keep the original layout of the engine bay and focus on upgrading individual parts...I'm also thinking about going with the "polished" look...:)

Not the cleanest job but props from trying...That IC looks MASSIVE!

I have been toying with V-Mount as on the track it is difficult to keep temps down with the shape of the Cosmo and the way its inlets are designed. I already have a V-Mount intercooler for it, but the main limiting factor is getting a correctly louvered bonnet. One thing that I like about the above set-up is the air seperation tank. I have been tossing up that idea also as another fail safe.

yeah I had though about doing vmount too. but for right now going to keep the stock fan. Even after living in Japan for 7 years this time, I still dont understand why people do all this tuning and try and keep the AFM

Well with the radiator also in a v and that low, you would need to run air separator tank just like on FD

Here is a pic of my Cosmo at Goodwood in the UK on my recent trip. If you don't know Goodwood then Google the Festival of Speed. Enjoy!
