Injen SP6062 CAI....anyone installed yet??

Hello...

I purchased the Injen CAI and will be installing it in a couple weeks when it arrives. I was originally just going to get the Cobb SRI but it was on backorder so for another $75 I got this.....the guy told me instead of the +11hp I would get with the SRI, I will be getting +33hp with the Injen CAI.....anyone had experience with using this??? Installing?? Here are detailed install instructions, in case anyone is interested....didn't realize I would have to remove the whole front bumper section.

Dont remove your bumper. I have this intake. Take off your front driver side wheel and take out your wheel well. A lot easier and same access. You can however take the bumper off (isnt as hard as it seems) and have total access, just be careful to not break any clips and keep all parts. Take pics before you start so you remember how everything goes back together in case you have warranty work. I did the entire install myself in under an hour.

How is your performance??? Is it true that you don't have to do a reflash???

The guys who sold it to me said just to remove the battery cable to reset...then after the install the computer should re-cal on it's own after 3 or 4 drives....make sense??

I have had this intake for almost a year now. I haven't had a single problem with it. It performs really well, it sounds great, and fitment is perfect, I havent heard a single rattle or buzz, i haven't had to go in a readjust or re-tighten any bolts.

Highly recommended. I know how hot the Cobb SRI is right now, but since they are all but impossible to get a hold of, you won't be disappointed going with this intake instead.

A+ would buy again.

I love the Injen intake, sounds great, and after a couple key cycles it really adds power. I took the front bumper off for this, it was pretty easy, just be wary of the fog lights , they are a pita. Took aprox. 1hr.

i enjoy this intake a lot. i was really lazy when i put mine on. all i did was put the car on ramps and took off a couple parts of the under carriage. the main reason you have to take off your tire or bumper is because there is a shield in the bumper. when i go for visits to the dealer it takes me 25 mins tops to swap out intakes. also to reset your ecu all the way, disconnect the battery before starting and turn your lights on so any power thats to the ecu will be drained and it will reset fully. the power difference almost made me s*** my pants. Enjoy

I cant say the power gains were that impressive but they were noticeable. No reflash, just the ECU reset.

That is what they say, I think more around 20. Who really knows without a dyno with just the intake mod.

AEM's CAI dyno sheet has said it gains 28hp saw it on youtube pretty sweet :O

I have really enjoyed my Injen. It took me about 30 minutes to install mine. I did have an extra set of hands which helps when removing the bumper (foglights). I noticed the improvement in the butt dyno and additionally in the wallet. I have had my intake for about 2 months and have noticed a 4-5 mpg gain in my daily driving. For reference, I drive 10 miles city/stoplights and 18 miles highway/low traffic each day. Enjoy it, I know I do.
