Injen intake?

Yeh I saw it too, I bought it, I got the promo price, beats the cpe price and ms price by atleast 100 bucks. Hoping to get it soon and then Ill post my personal feelings....

Anyone know of the HP increase or anything on these??

I did want to stick with Mazda seeing as the car is brand new.

i baught mine for the reg. 3 for the same price and i have to admit big difference

heres the dyno on the ms3 w/ injen cai http://*************.com/images/intake/injenms3dyno.jpg

The perfomance gains on this intake seem to be more than with the MAZDASPEED intake. Correct me if I am worng. Could it be where the MAF sensor is installed causing and making big numbers.

I havent really had the chance to get underneath the car to see where the filter would go to. Do you think that the shield is really neccessary?

Possibly not but since water will fall from top to bottom the shiled covers the entire top part of the filter. I doubt water will get under the hood much at all but its nice that they included this with the kit.

You could buy Injens water sock but then you are right up to the price of the MS CAI so I dont see the point.

that is kind of what i was thinking

The intake will be pretty tucked back and surrounded by the cars OEM air dams/splash gaurds, so I really dont think it will be a prolbem. Still waiting on getting mine in the mail!

Both are good intakes I am sure so its comes down to savings vs hassel from the dealer and it wasnt worth it to me to buy aftermarket.

So am I. I called last week and the guy at PG said it would be shipped that day(TUESDAY). Friday Night i get an email from PG with a ups tracking number, and it says they recieved billing info on THURSDAY, and it's coming from CANADA. Huh?

Its scheduled for delivery on wednesday.

Looks good! ~26HP & 30ft/lbs of torque. Very comparable to the Mazdaspeed CAI. I have some friends that run Injen CAI's on their cars and they are very happy with them. Also they appear to be great quality.

Dammit I have to make my mind up. I am going in between both of these. Would someone tell me what to buy!!!!!

Decide how much its worth it to you to hassel with after market items on a car under warranty. If its worth $90 savings for you to remove it each time you bring it to the dealer then go that route but for me it wasnt worth the BS. Besides the synthetic dry flow filter is the best there is right now and it comes with the MS CAI and the injen is the old style oiled type.

its pretty weird how that worked out. we paid in advance for the intakes and our supplier took thier time shipping them out for us. for them to ship from canada though still throws me off. i've lined up an additional supplier of the intakes for the demand to be met. let me know how you like the intake nonetheless.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify. I'll definitely post up a review with pics when it arrives (hopefully today or tomorrow).
