It wont happen unless you park your car in a 2 foot puddle. I have seen 1 case of hydro lock, and that was when the idiot drove is prelude into a 5 foot puddle. at that point, even the stock airbox would not've saved him

I've had mine since february I think now. It's pretty well gaurded under your fender and by all the underbody plastics. Just don't go trouncing through huge puddles and splash a ton of water up. It rained like a bastard last thrusday and I was out on a race track and did three laps. There was some standing water and tons of spray everywhere, and nothing happened. You really have nothing to worry about but there are a couple of options if you really want. Get an AEM bypass valve. I don't know how well it fits but people put it on between the air sensor box and the 2 peices of the intake. Get heat shields and put around the cone filter. Change back to the stock air intake whenever it rains really hard. Or just go with the aem short ram. I really don't think you have to worry though. I'm not worrying, and if I do get hydrolock, that just gives me a reason to get some beefier internals and up my compression

It depends ... do you drive an automatic or manual ?
Automatic - No, there won't be any noticeable difference between the SRI or the CAI, not even the dyno can really prove otherwise.
Manual - There is a slight increase in HP with a CAI, however, the only time you would notice is ona dyno.
So for all intents and purposes, there isn't a difference. Personally, I prefer the CAI due to its look

There is only ~2hp difference between CAI and SRI. Remember any intake alone is not worth the power gain. You get an intake for better throttle response and possibly a little more tourqe in the higher bands.
If you get the CAI you can always easily convert it to SRI if there is nasty weather or if your not out on the track.
You should not have to worry about hydro-locking, like most have already stated. But don't by a by-pass valve, this will take away any gains you were getting from the intake.

More than anything our economy is hurting big time because of this. Out of the 3 million people in Toronto there are only about 18 confirmed cases right now. You have a better chance of dying with the flu than you do with SARS.

What really sucks is that at the beginning of this SARS thing everybody was staying away from everything Asian. People were staying away from the Asian communities and Asian shops and store were suffering big time. People can be so ignorant at times. They figure just because all this started in Asia that only Asians were spreading the virus.

It just means it started in Asia but anybody can catch it or spread it. To single out one nationality is the same as saying only homosexuals spread AIDS. The Asian community got hit big time because of this. There is a mall that has almost all asian stores in it and it went from hard to find parking to completely dead. It's just sad to see a group of people suffer because the ignorance of others.
If a desease is spreading in an asian country wouldn't that mean the people in that countrh are the most likely to have it and spread it as opposed to a guy hanging out in Ireland?

The reason why it spread to Canada was because someone happen to have stayed in a hotel in HongKong and someone else in that hotel had the virus. The fact that the person who came back to Canada was Asian is besides the point. It could have been a Canadian, Italian etc. In fact the majority of people who got SARS in Toronto are not Asian. Either way the media blew this way out of porportion. It could have been dealt with in a better way.
