I'm installing an injen in place of my Perrin SRI, which didn't work. The tube that goes down into the fender and attaches to the filter seems to want to angle way up off the MAF and won't reach far enough down into the bumper to attach the filter- its almost like the bracket is welded too far down the pipe.

Does your injen angle way up before heading down into the fender? My old AEM sat pretty much horizontally?

Here's a pic:

Looks as though yours do angle up a little.

Was it hard to get clearance for the filter? So little of the intake tube makes it into the bumper that the back of the filter interferes with attaching it on.

Right now I've got the filter on the MAF, SRI style. Man, is it nice to have my car running right again.

Not sure if I'm just stupid on the intake tube or what?

Perrin fits fine. I fixed for the MAF sensor, still doesn't work. Car runs better, but still stalls. Perrin is trying to figure out why. Supposed to take a month for a re-designed prototype. I need my car to run, so I got the Injen. I may or may not go back to the Perrin once they sort it out. I am disappointed with that product.

From what I see, it's the first half of the CAI that is the problem (turbo to MAF) not the second one (maf to wing). Try rotating the first half to get the maf as high as possible if not, just return it to the place you bought it saying it's a defect.

I think you're right. I was out of patience to tinker with the thing last night after having wasted so much time trying to get that Perrin to work. Tomorrow or Sunday I'll have some time to play with it.

Runs great as an SRI, though.

Looks like the first half of yours is angled up a bit. Make sure the intake is flush with the turbo inlet on the top and bottom.

What did you do with the temp sensor? Isin't it supposed to get in the second half of the intake?
Just tie it off near the filter with a wire tie. That's how the Perrin SRI is set up as well.
