Ingalls Engine Torque Damper Feeler Thread

This is already posted in the MSP board so I want the P5 community input also:

Ok, so after analyzing my options to limit the movement of our engines and a desire to minimize cabin vibration due to the Urethane Motor mount option, I went looking for an engine damper. Obviously there is already the WeaponR product on the market for our cars but everything I've read is that either the mounts break or the strut stops working properly or that it just doesn't do anything.
Continuing the research on this topic I came across the Ingalls Stiffy strut unit that has been used by our Evo and WRX compatriots for a while now with siginificant success. I reached out to Ingalls to inquire about what I could do to modify one to fit our cars.
Grant from Ingalls got back to me right away to let me know they've been looking into doing something for our car but weren't sure of the interest level yet. He asked me to post up an interest thread to see if we could get 75-100 people interested as well as one person in the Denver area to use as an R&D car. If we can generate this level of interest in their product and provide an R&D vehicle to test fit with he assured me this would get done.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm all about this product being made for our cars so please anyone who would be interested add your name to this list and lets get yet another quality product made for the Protege. Also if anyone wants to link this to other Protege forums feel free as I know as a community we have the people with enough interest required to get it made!

I like the solution of using a damper on our motors. I'd be intersted by it is highly dependent on price. I see CorSport sells the Stiffy for $155 for most applications. That's a little on the high side if you ask me. This don't have to have the capacity of a wheel strut yet it costs just as much. What are we really getting for that money?

the same effects of awr's motor mounts with no vibration in the cabin for a little more money...and it's easier to install.

Now that's something I'd pay top dollar for. After removing my AWR's due to chronic headaches from idling in traffic I'm back to stock and loving how quiet it is. However, my wheel-hop is back. :(

Ingalls would like to say thanks for all members who have decided to show interest in this product. What Ingalls now needs to know is what cars share the same engine mounts as your car such as Mazda 3, Mazda 6 and so on. If Ingalls can knock out two applications with one part number the possibility of this kit being produced gets bumped way up
