Listen folks I have had about enough of this V8 –vs- 4cl crap. Where did this come from anyway? I bet there are links to this site and others on the V8 pages so they can harass 4cl owners.
Bottom line is this if you are looking for speed you do not have to own a V8 to go fast you just have to know what you are doing. There is no chance that a 4cl car will ever beat a V8 if their conditions are the same. It is physics plain and simple. Some people actually get a kick out of buying cars that appear to be slow and can smoke most cars with a few mods. I will be the first to tell you that the look on a V8 owner is priceless after some twin turbo rotary engine blows his doors off. That is a Kodak moment.
If you have two naturally aspirated cars and one is a 4cl and one is an 8cl there is no chance for the 4cl. Add a turbo to the 4cl and with proper tuning we might have a match.
My biggest problem is with arrogant ignorance. That is when someone that has NO idea what they are talking about talks a bunch of s***. Some of you MP3 owners think that with a few mods you can take a V8 and that is way from the truth. If racing is what you wanted to do then you should have bought a car that was capable of meeting your needs. You cannot tell me any NA 4cl that is kicking ass at the drag strip. Sure they have import drag racing but every one of those cars has some form of mega forced induction.
