no, it doesn't matter. the exhaust doesn't ever sit flush with the car anyway, which is a good thing. if it did, that would be bad. black exhaust will cover your rear bumper like they do on those ricer cars. it's no fun. it just seems like it sticks out a BIT too far, but that's personal preference.
