i have over 37k on my car and its been clunking for a long time, ive never changed the bushings yet. i took it to the dealership to get it changed once but they kept telling me to come back and that they had ordered it and never recieved it, when they finaly did i took my car and they said they were very busy that day and i had to make an apointment so i said **** it. Now i know delsing made bushings a while ago and promised to make some more which never happend.

will the AWR sway bar fix the klunk ?
how about these http://www.awrracing.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=253

I changed mine to awr bushings have a little more noise inside but no more rocking and poping but if you changed your clutch you might feel the clutch engage and disengage which will cause a clunking sound also especialy if its a 4 puck or a full face

I hate to say it, but I've learn to either live with or accept my car for what it is. A squeeky road hugging machine with loud jpop playing ^^

Damn, How Can I forget the good ol turkey.

Seriously, FSDET, you should look into Micaspeed!'s klunk fix. He told me that he'll start another batch soon. Other's has reported a different kind of clunk with the adjustable endlinks that Dave suggests, but I haven't had any problems with it. My car is only squeeking because my mechanic didn't grease the GTSPEC later links when he install them.

i had the same problem with the lateral links, they were horible!!! (protest)

but once u put some grease inside, it's all good

Jcell-I even told him that it required some grease before the install and he looked at the bar and told me "naw, it doesn't need grease." Hopefully I can just get a mini grease gun and do it without taking it off.

me too!!! (rofl), a mechanic also installed my parts (lader bar, low end tie bar, lateral links)but there is no way around it, u have to take them off, it's not too hard, just need ramps so u won't need an aligment afterwards

the squeaking is coming from the screw that is too dry, so it's grinding against the metal joint from the inside, u can grease the outside all day long, it won't stop it, i got some semi-synthetic grease that worked wonders on that and many other parts

I would also like to know if the AWR sway-bar fixes the clunk. It's not cheap but if it works it would be worth it.

he never did. i mentioned that in my first post.

Sorry, I was in skimming mode. Did you email him directly about the brackets? He checks his email at least once a week.

no but the threads been there for a long time and he knows that theres a big demand so i doubt my email would change anything. i just wish he would sell his design(he wanted to) so someone else could start mass producing them.
maybe its time to ask Beau to make them :) his making almost everything engine and turbo wise maybe he can make the brackets too

btw can anyone plz tell me if the AWR sway bar will fix it ? iirc it wont but i wanna know why.

I e-mailed Delsing awhile ago and they said they were going to make more. I don't have the e-mail here at work. The price was alot more than what was on the forum if I remeber right!

I guess i've been fortunate enough to not get the clunk with my MP3, just sqeaky bushings that need to be greased every so often.

You can also try getting aftermarket bushings and banging the brackets to fit (someone posted that it works). I have the Delsing prototype and it works great, only issue is you have to grease the urethane bushings every oil change or they develop that urethane squeak - a non issue as I can grease 'em in clean dress pants in ~30 seconds without upping the car.
