I think I have to do an oil change at the first 1000 kilometers, my dealer, which is actually the comercial director of the dealership thinks so too, most of you guys agree with this as well. So I call service to make an appointment for Monday and there like UH??? We never do oil changes at 1000 kilometers. They gone with, oh it's semi-synthetic, blah blah blah....... But the engines burns a lot of oil when it's new.

I'm lost and scared, I want my mommy, LOL J/K

Um...change the oil yourself? Its utterly simple on the 6s. Hardest part is just getting the inital filter off (1st change ever). Just remember to save your recepits. (from oil/filter purchases).

Stock oil is motorcraft 5w-20 Semi-syn.
Stock filter for 6s is Motorcraft FL-820S
(Though the factory filter is slightly different in the 04s)

The oil's 1.40/qt at wallmart, the filter's about 3 bucks. Takes 6 qts for an 04 6s.

Ramps are 20 bucks.. 15mm rachet wrench is about 3 dollars, oil filter wrench 5 bucks.

Thnx guys, the service department at my dealer is very incompetent. I'll ask my sisters friend to do my oil. Anyways, I'm off for 2 days, I'll try to find a PC at the hotel to pop back up on the forums, I'll see you soon.

LOL, no clue, I finally reached 1000 kilometers after my road trip (owned quite a few bugs and cars ), I'll just show up early in the morning and tell them, DO IT!!!
