Well since Josh always harasses me to check out Nepoc for meets I've decided to finally listen and do so. As some of you remember I had a Rx-8 black that started as a base model with 16"s turned into before its death into a JDM Kenstyle bodykitted car with dark chrome 18"s

Sadly she died protecting myself and (at the time) gf's kids (who thought it was a fun ride and wanted to do it again!).

Went on to buy a decent (re:pos) volvo which just recently died due to someone rearended me. So after about a month of waiting for a damn check I went out and bought my new toy and project. A new Rx-8 was out of the question a older Rx-7 was out of the question due to me not having a garage so I figured I'd go to my first dream car to own an modify a 240SX. Most I found were fugly as hell and I wouldnt let any of you buy if you won the lotto. So after I awhile I found a nice one. She needs some work but not as much as others I found. 1.4k later and she's mine.

I still wish my Hard Drive didnt get wiped I still wouldnt mind printing up a Poster size of that photo.

I still need to do some basic maintence like a oil change and figure out where this oil leak I have is coming from. Also needs the rear sub frame dropped and put some new bushings in, motor mounts and transmission mounts installed.. but yeah I have a list already made up haha.

Hey Kev, nice to have you back! Good luck w/ the car and keep us posted! I'd paint that hood white, but that's just me :)

hwy...what are your plans for her? make sure you keep us posted on the project...sounds like fun!

Oleg trust me that hood shall be the first thing um "fixed" in terms of body mods.
Joe.. in a perfect world where I had more money than brain's I'd be slapping in a LS1 and calling it a day hehe.

She has a lot of fixing to do. Just changed the front brake rotors and pads this past weekend. Had to replace the Alternator first though.

Immediate fixes include:
-Rear pads and rotors
-Oil pan leak

Down the line fixes:
-Brand new Clutch kit including flywheel.
-New Suspension debating coilovers or shocks/springs.
-Replace Sub-frame bushings
-Cold air intake
-Fix rust/rot holes (have a fab. friend and will document this :) )

Updation!!! (rockon)
Installed the radio sadly Nissan's suck in this dept (confirmed from 3 friends that do/did installations). Notice the gap on the top and bottom folks?

Also changed the brakes. And yes all I did was take the caliper off and the pads are still on. (eek2)

The bottom pad is facing upwards with where the brake material SHOULD be. (boom04)

Updation pt2

Got tired of having next to no heat in the car and also the temp gauge reading C constantly on the dash. Bought a Nismo Thermostat from Nissan Village for dirt cheap (have to love working for a dealership network hehe).

The Stat on the left is the Nismo and the one on the right is the Stock Stat. Notice how the stock is WIDE open. Yeah say thank you to the moron before me not having a CLUE!

Well I still need to do the rear brakes but that is next weekend (I believe) and then also have to do the oil pan gasket replacement. When that happens pure Royal Purple is going in.

Once my Taxes come in I shall be bringing the car to my fab/welding friend who shall tackle the rust spots on the car and fix 'em up nice. We'll also be doing a few interior piece's which I must say shall be killa and surprise a few people.

Also Josh via FB can you send me a link to the place where I can track down some of that gold heat reflective tape? Thanks :D

This Saturday going to CT to pick up a used Sunroof and a Passenger side Fender both for about $120 (shocked) in total hehe. Have to love Car forums yanno?

Updation pt2
Clutch went last weekend. Though I could hold this off till just before Spring but alas it wasnt meant to be. Sadly I was on the way to pick up my best bud Noah (exgf's son) so we could spend some time together and help my friend Eddie fix the rust on my car. :(

With the help of James and Sokim I got the transmission off but ran out of time so a Tech at my work finished the job. No fancy clutch/flywheel set up just a OEM replacement since there was no time wait around for the replacement.

This is what the clutch looked like when we took it out (boom06)

Damn boy! Now that that shiz is worn down. I thought the clutch in my Teg was bad.

Another round of Updation for you all! (headbang)

Had my good friend Eddie who does fabrication and welding work and has worked on cars from Ferrari, Lambo's, Nissan Gt-R's, and yeah you get the point. The shop he worked for shut down so he's been doing side work. I hit him up and well we finally met up and got to work.

The Nasty Hole of Rotted DooM!

Eddie cutting a portion of a Chevy Truck Hood as a patch panel.

The patch panel from the Chevy worked out great. He did very little altering to the metal.
Halfdone.jpg

The piece near the wheel well needed a bit more altering but to him he just said it was nothing and very easy.

After some mud and sanding and a bit of priming we put a top coat of white on it for now.
Quickpaint.jpg

My own lil contribution to this. I got bored while Eddie was doing all his work so I did this upon my own. I figured it would look better than primer gray being on the car for awhile.

This may actually be spreading throughout the entire car.. unsure at the moment.
