why not? im not talking slamming it 3". just do like a nice littel 3/4" drop. it will make a huge difference, especially if you are planning on getting wheels.

Eh I'm actually happy w/the stockers. I'll probably end up getting steelies and tires for winter but that's it.

I don't want to mess w/the suspension because I like it the way it is. It's a tad high, but I'd rather keep it there to be safe. It's not as high as the Mazda 3 is!

its not that steelies are neccessarily better, its just they are cheaper than getting new wheels....

well the idea was to keep the polished rims for summer and get some wheels for winter... Since I'm probably only about 50% through the stock Dunlops (yes I know they suck but so far had no problems in the rain), I figure come winter time I'd get some steelies. Since they're heavier, that in combination w/the snow tires = better traction, correct?

i run stock p5 wheels/tires for the winter...it gets me by...i dont think our winters are severe enough for snow tires. as long as you dont drive like a jackass, ive found the stock p5 tire to be enough for my winter needs.

Agreed. I just got Racing Beat MP3 springs installed...it made such a huge difference in handling and the car looks much better. It only dropped it by .75 inch.

That's because you live in the city where the roads are constantly plowed and the urban heat island is in effect.

I'm out in the country and the plows only get to the major roads usually. One day I was driving down a somewhat unlevel road and the car went everywhere. I mean everywhere - up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. And that was with keeping the steering wheel straight.

I don't know how you can manage w/stock dunlops...

steelies are also cheap to replace after you've bent them all from snow e-brake power slides.
