100% with you. This gen BMW M5 was my dream car for the longest time. Its either that or an Audi RS4 Avant. I like practicality AND speed!

996 Porsche TT. In the market, allmost pulled the trigger on one last week, sold the day before i called. *tear*. For the price, there just isn't much that can beat it as an all around performer and the aftermarket for the cars is nuts. Roughly 3k can get you 500hp/550ft tq with an exhaust and GIAC tuning. Crazy she-it!

I'll make sure you all get pictures when i finally reel in that perfect car! (Yellow is kind of rare! *wink wink*)

holy crap it's matt. did you sell your car yet

lol. long time no see! The little b**** would sabatoge every attempt i made to sell her, so i gave up and decided to finish her (even though i've taken a few steps backwards with progress). I thought why not since i love driving it and its a unique car thats fun. Plus, i'm building a collection of yellow cars in my garage, so it fits in perfectly with the plans!

How much money are we talking about?

If I had money, lots of money, I'd have a 993 Turbo, Black. Last of the air-cooled, with round headlights. A real 911, as far as I'm concerned!

not sure whether to say 'that sucks' or 'congrats' or some word that's the combination of both. whatever makes you happy, that's all that matters.

sorry for going off topic!

i remember when i was younger i loved that porshe, and even the ferrari F something, cant remember. The lamborghini diablo was also a mean biatch back in the day.

Its a nice choice! I had one on order, but dropped my option to purchase in favor of picking up a 335 coupe... I just can't get over the insane modiability to the engines. The XEDE chip + Exhuast is putting out 405tq/355hp. That sheit is crazy!

if i could buy any car right now, first thing would be a speed yellow 911 GT3. (the 997 generation).

OMGWTF, j00 live! Hooray for Matt! :D

Anyhoo, I'm just a lil' bitter about the UNavailability of a manual transmission in all the 'better' models of the IS line. The only one that has a manual as an option is the RWD 250 -- not even the AWD 250! St00pit Lexus! (stooges)

three choices: 1. Nissan Skyline GT-R..pick a year, doesnt madda; 2. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII; 3. the Crossover Protege..no lies!!

lol. yea i live. glad to see your well too and still gracing us with your presence!

I test drove the 250 manual, and its just too slow. Coming from the MSP you would be really dissapointed. Good news is that used IS350's are popping up for 250AWD prices now so just wait and pick up a used 350.

The 350 is a kick in the pants compared to the 250. Lots of torque, good engine note, (sounds kick ass w/exhaust). Handling isn't bad with the sport package, but some H&R springs/sways (about 500.00 for both) transform the car into something truly fun to drive. The interior is better than the BMW or Audi by a huge amount. The gear box isn't THAT bad. I mean, i'd prefer a manual, but you could live with it daily and have a great time with it.

The lexus forum boys also figured out the procedure for turning off the electro-nannies and apparently the car is quite a drifter!

GO FOR IT RUSH!

*edit* YAY FOR 3,000th post! (first)

I totally agree, I'd get a 993 in a second. In the late 90's, I had the pleasure to drive around in a 1993 911 RS America every other day. My father picked one up at an auction, it was a light smash with low mileage and he got it fixed. It was stolen 3 months later. It's been 10 years since and I'm still messed up over it.

last of the killer bees... the B class of WRc..

peugeot 205 16 turbo WRC... in the end some had 1000 HP

i know you can't put a license plate on those but im sure with a little more cash, i could :)

it's the ultimate sleeper.
