I recently just purchaced a 03.5 msp, i've wanted this car since they came out. i had an es which i spent alot of money changing the body, engine parts, and mods to make it like the msp. i totalled it in july and on friday i found a titaniun msp at the dealership. now people are saying i shouldnt have bought it because of the potential problems. i just wanted to see who would buy it again if they could go back. i dont regret my purchase! I LOVE MAZDASPEED!haha.

I just totalled my silver .5 MSP as well a few days ago... you can see my thread a few post down with pictures. and I am in the process of looking for another one. I love those cars, and talk about safe! me and my 3 passengers came out without a scratch... just take a look at the pics and you will see how lucky we are and how amazing that car is.

Sorry for your loss! YES! i flipped mine and ended up with the driver side on the street! the car saved my life! i walked without a scratch! i know people that have had civics and totalled them and the airbags didnt deploy and they got hurt pretty bad. saftey feature is great~! good luck with your search, glad to see your ok.

ha. mike. we took out the suspension in the ES and drug it through a field with no struts in it. i will post a pic in this thread when i get home from work.lol ive got a few from the stripping of the car and whatnot.

talk about slammed. too bad the wheels werent in good condition, could have sold them. o well

I would buy my MSP again without a second thought. But I have not had the problems others have had.

I love mine, and have no regrets. I honestly believe I couldn't have purchased a better car for the money. From the handling, styling, and turbo. Many talk about the failures, and problems they run into. But the money you spend getting an EMS, and welding the lsd doesn't even compare to the money you would spend getting other econo boxes to the level of the msp.

I wouldn't have bought a P5 to start with wouldn't have made me get a MSP to replace how bad it was.. So now I am stuck with a POS MSP that isn't worth jack-s*** when I could have bought something better.

Such is life, I suppose.

I wish someone would T-bone me and total it so I could get a different car. (help)

I love mine and would most definitely buy it again...that or spend the extra $ and get an STi

I'd do it again. Twice. I've had it for over a year and I still get all giddy like a little schoolgirl when it's time to drive somewhere. Anywhere. Even to the mailbox.

If I would have never bought my mp3, I wouldn't know half of what I do now about cars, and SpeedCircuit wouldn't exist.

Its not bad, Its made a great daily driver, It just cant take the place of my old MR2 though, and I have been plotting on getting another on of those and keeping my speed for months.

thank god it does! guess the problems are good things because it keeps u in business! haha

i wouldn,t have bought it to begin with.. selling it would make me lose money.. even though i started to mod it even though the warranty is still up, i still think it,s a half baked potato... it's at a "half finished" product and some things mazda could have done better instead of cutting corners..

to start :

1- engine.. why not have taken a BPT 1.8 instead of the weak rodded FS-DE i mean it's a hell of an engine and its already built stronger and could take more mods and you wouldn't have to worry about the big bang theory

2- since there all bling bling about products from other compagnies like racing hart and racing beat and callaway.. why not put a Quaife LSD in to begin with?? the car would have cost 1K$ more but so what?

3- the tuning.. it sux.. i mean i saw home made turbocharged civics with a hack P28 ECU that as better tune

4-suspension clunks..need i say more?

too much worries and not enough "toughness"

like some others said here.. "it looks fast but not built to be fast"

i should have bought a wrx...

i wish i had known of the MSP when i bought mine, i would have paid the difference no problem

but then again, my first mod would have been a boost controller, then i would have hopped over to the SRT forums and found out they boost 15+ PSI, so i owuld hve done the same, zoom zoom boom!

turbo would have been nice. but ive got an 03 lx. so all i have going for me is looks.ha!

its all good though. gets me from point A to B. im saving up for something nice. soon enough.

I'd buy it again for sure. It was the perfect car for me at the time...still is. Cheap to buy and mod, and it looked better than anything else available at the time. I also haven't had any "real" problems with my MSP either.

A car I wish I hadn't gotten back in like '01 is my 7...it's great now, but it's been a long and expensive road to get there.

Only if the 03 Mazda6 V6's had more aftermarket support, I would've gotten one instead of my MSP. I like the room of a midsize sedan.

I've had my MSP since last august, and i would buy it all over again. I spent months trying to find an MSP for the right price in my area, and I knew about all the issues well before i bought it. Yea the squeak/clunk is annoying, but for the money its hard to find a better package for the price of these cars. Dont beat the car to death, and it will hold up as well as any other car on the road.

well here you go mike. stripped down and ready to be taken away. its go no struts in it, think its low enough? ha
