Hi,
I am new to the forum. Although I am a Toyota MR2 owner, I am seriously considering buying a MP3. This MP3 has been relisted on ebay. I have spoken directly to the salesman. He has been amazingly straight forward with regard to details about the car. What do you guys think? What specific questions should I ask the salesman and what should I look for? Please tell me why the MP3 does not have cruise control and can I add it easily and inexpensively?
Thanks.

i don't know if it can be added or how much it'd cost...no mp3 has cruise. it wasn't an option...it's more of a "driver's" car

you can by mine. mines practly brand new. 60k on the body 25k on the motor 1k on the rebuilt tranny has a stage 1 clutch solid motor mounts new tires TWM short throw shifter i owe 12500 u could just take over the pay ments there be less then 250$ on a 5year note let me know what you think. i have paper work for every thing on the car.

my Protege5 has cruise, look into them at all?

welcome to the forum! where are you from and which mp3 on ebay are you looking at? i think it would be a good idea to let us know because we can go through the pictures and tell you immidietly if anything is missing or modded or wrong with the car. many of us know that car ike the back of our hand. how much are they asking and whats the miles on it? if your wandering what its like to go from a mr2 to mp3 you should talk to blue-sun as he has an mr2 and recently bought an mp3 a few months back. welcome to the forums!

oh and test drive it and listen to the rear of the car over bumps....you'll know its an mp3 whenever you hear the "clunk" noise of the bushings giving out on the rear sway. it will sound like something bouncing around in the trunk.

MP3 for sale on ebay

Thanks for the reply. The MP3 for sale on ebay is this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=300071660089&rd=1,1

I hope the link works. I had a friend check the car out for me. It has 65k miles. He said that it drives great, looks great, and has the distinctive rear end clunk. No grinding into second or third gear. What is the most I should pay for this car? Please let me know. BTW, my MR2 is a 89 SuperCharged version. Thanks again. I look forward to becoming part of the MP3 community by actually owning one.

i wouldn't go over $7k for sure. maybe around 7 or a lil less. some people really try to mark the cars up but you can get a msp for around 10/11k+ these days and thats with a turbo and 2 years newer.
