from your local mazda dealership, standard equipment on the MP3 and MAZDASPEED protege, you'll also the valve cover too, that;s what it bolts on to. unless your creative and rig it without the valve cover.

Hey whats that blue button on the stearing wheel for.I wonder if that thing has an FS-ZE in it and why does that car have US-spec lights in the back. I think its an (Australian SP-20) not a (Japanese-Familia) Yes those or OEM lights also and that indash monitor is hot.

The blue button

That "blue button" not a functional button. It is the Nardi label that is on the steering wheel.

That in dash is F$#@ING sweet. I want one. Hey maybe we can work out a deal with some of our partners from down under. another thread said they were having a hard time getting the aftermarket installation kits for their stereos. Well I think we could trade them if they got us some of those in dash screens. J/k guys but those things are bad ass. Love the look of the HIDS too. Mine will be on soon , if I can ever get the damn car to stay running right. (For expalnation check my other thread)

Hey all...

My aussie spec SP20 is EXACTLY the same as the one in the photo minus the indash nav... We have a 6 disc in dash CD player instead. The Steering wheel is a NARDI item and that blue thing is just a badge. Apart from the nav, mine is the same right down to the colour! hehehe Suckers!

so there isn't even an option you can order, for the indash nav?

nah, ours come pretty much fully spec'd as it is... i think the only options are an upgrade alarm and a sunroof... maybe window tinting and a towbar, but that's about it...

Unfortunately, no indash nav/tv! :(

Yea, I bought ours at the Mazda dealer, it cost about $130 with a $20 next day shipping charge (I was in a hurry). I installed it without using an MP3 valve cover. I just used some heavy back strapping (ya know, the piece of metal that come with new radios that have holes in them) and some speed clips. The end result is pretty clean, you can really only see one of the brackets and you have to be looking for it to really notice it. It is a lot cheaper than buying the MP3 valve cover and it does not move around at all.

yeah the HIDs are oem...i'm still trying to work out something with a friend in japan to see if i can get my hands on a set...it's going to be expensive though...it would probably be cheaper to just get an aftermarket set

Aight, I have no idea what the sport 20 is... I assume is a J-spec P5 with some goodies. Did Japan make a Jspec MP3? if so what was it called? and where can I check it out?
Cheers

The only problem I hear of with those HIDs is that the housings are aimed for a right-hand drive car.
