Dear everbody,

I'm a user of Mazda protege 2.0 and I'm from Taiwan, I have a craving for MP3, but how come it's not import here in Taiwan...>.<
(we have only the model with exterior bodykits and 142hp NA engine...)
So...can anyone tell me how can I get accessory of MP3?

tks for any advice and pls mail me:
tyh_wintech@yahoo.com.tw:)

Most Mazda dealer ships here in the states sell all the body kit parts for the MP3. I assume the seats and steering wheel can also be purchased.

Thats pretty much all the mp3 is. The exterior body kit with 140 hp, upgraded sound system and upgraded suspension. What all do you want that an mp3 has? Like first said, you can get some stuff from a dealership, but stuff like the MP3 badging, I hear you have to supply proof that you have an MP3, mainly your VIN number.

Thanks for all replys...
I'm already upgraded my suspension and so on....but none of them is origin MP3 parts..>.<...
is it every MP3 come with a serial number ? so... can I find something like a MP3 logo for my protege ?

To, SomaMP3,
Am I telling something wrong ? I cannot catch your meaning...sorry for my poor English...

Every MP3 comes with a production number. You have to call mazda, give them your VIN number and they will tell you your production number. You cannot order an MP3 badging for you protege without an MP3 VIN number. Someone that actually ownes an MP3 would have to buy them and then ship them to you. Which I'm not about to do cause I'm just to lazy, sorry man.

SomaMP3 is just mad cause you are trying to make your car look like an MP3 when it's actually not. I agree with him there since that's like someone with a Integra buying a type R sticker and putting it on. It's kinda different for you being in taiwan though. Since no one has an MP3 there you'd be pretty much the only person with that emblem on your car.

As for the suspension, why do you want mp3 parts? there are definately better parts to put on than the mp3 comes with, especially for the price you'd pay for OEM parts.

Did that answer most questions?

So...I see...
Maybe it's a kind of honor to own a MP3...whitch I've careless...so I apologise for this...
But forgive me....I just love this car too much..since there's no import here....
Since I've Recaro,O-tein,Remus,Momo,Bodykits....on my car....it's still a protege 2.0...

I love it too, and If i were you I wouldn't care what anyone else thinks. Do what makes you happy man, that's what lifes all about.

Is your tail lights the same as MP3's (and regular proteges over here for that matter) over there or are they a little different?

I'd like to see a pic if they are different.

Thanks

hey Tyh
how my does tein cost for you guys over there?
i am wanting their coilover kit!
not sure if it fits my mp3??

Isn't it that is a the same car as MP3 called Familia in Japan?

Sounds weird, you are in Taiwan and you want to buy parts in North-America?
You can find a lot better parts in Japan or Hong Kong....and they are closer to you.

I believe aftermarket parts can even make a Protege looks better than a MP3 if you really putting money on it.

This angers me? I hope i'm not the only one
Get over yourself. The MP3 is still only within North America. You will never see this guys car and probably no one else will that really cares. I wouldn't doubt that you are the only one that is angered by this. If this makes you mad, you have a long life of serial killing and raping ahead of you.

Familai is any Asia proteges name. There were only 1500 MP3s in the world and all were in North America

Isn't it 1000 BLUE AND 500 YELLOW?
So 1500 in US and other 250 Blue in Canada?

so the total is 1750 MPS in North America

I'm one of the 250 in Canada :D

No, there are actually only 320 yellow and 1180 blue. The yellow paint was a b**** to cover the primer, so they cut the number of yellow short. Thats why there are so few yellow Pro5's. Canada got all blue MP3's.

total of 1500 is right...

Now back on topic....I would advise you to look into the suspension and tuning upgrades locally and get the body kits from the closest available place, the spring, struts and stuff are all mazda OEM's so you should be able to get them. I am sure someone will be listing the MP3 badges and floor mats on ebay any minute now

i still dont know how to react when ppl say they want their protege to be an mp3... it pisses me off, because they are trying to pose and have their car be something its not... a limited edition production vehicle.... and although they can put everything on the protege and it will basically be an mp3.. it will still never be an actual mp3...

so.. it pisses me off... but then at the same time.. i guess its kinda flattering to think about... i have one of only 1500 probably about 1498 or less left after only a year, and other people are envious and jealous and they wish they had what i have... so its kind of a compliment/flattery... but it still makes me mad!

and if your gonna do an mp3 conversion... ok.. go ahead.. but do it right... dont just put the body kit on then slap on mp3 badges... do the body, do the suspension, do the exhaust, blah blah... do EVERYTHING... and then make sure that YOU DO NOT PUT MP3 badges on it!! because that is just lame... you know how lame most ppl say altezzas/euro lights are?? well.. multiply that by 10 and you will have the gheyness of putting mp3 badges on a base model 2.0L

let me guess, you have a blue ES? Since your in Taiwan, I don't really care. But as for those in North America converting their cars into MP3's, that's the sadest lamest thing I've ever heard. Well, almost. I've seen Type R stickers on K cars....now that's bad.

It is a form of flattery, but, I don't care. I think MP3's should be MP3's and that's it. Might be a different story if you have a silver, or some other color besides blue , yellow ( not a concern there), and now black ( MSP). Orange....well, there are no other orange protege's.

Do the conversion, but if you put MP3's badges on it, I'm flying to Taiwan and ripping them off :) Actually my next door neighbor is there now on a business trip with Nortel until Feb......so I have eyes there buddy.....just kidding

Good luck with it though. I would actually go a step further, and maybe try getting an even better suspension kit setup, turbo etc.

Taiwan...part of my heritage...the land of bubble tea, and beautiful girls :)

Tyh, Ni hao ma?

hmm..I don't got a chinese writing thing, and I'm not even sure the board supports it.

But, for the money you're gonna spend (yea I know everyone in taiwan has lots and lots of money) but you could probally make it a much better car.

But from what I last remember...import taxes for cars are expensive there...so you must be quite wealthy (arn't all taiwanese though) to get a non-taiwanese brand car...unless if they change the tax laws.

And the emission laws are still strict there probally...but still you should beable to make a much better car than an mp3, because shipping will be killer, and parts are better in asia.
