I wanna buy an MS3 GT

But my undisclosed dealer *coughdonmillercoughcough* sucks.

I hate them with a passion... the only person who treated me like a person was my initial salesmen (who has left) and every person since then has treated me like s***. (I even had an incident with someone lying to me about a recall.. when I SAW him looking at it....long list of things they've done to me.. lets just say their Corporate Office has heard from me about it.)

I noted in another thread...I went in there a bit ago to basically price out (and possibly complete a sale with them) I walked in and was ignored. Went to the MS3 in the showroom and putzed around with it for a half hour. No one said a fuggin WORD to me.

So..I even approached a guy and asked him if they had any GT's on the lot.. he looked at me like I was bothering him...said "i dont think so" then went back to WATCHING another couple dink around in a cx-9.

I walked out exclaiming "I guess no one wants to sell a f'in car today" and left.

I was wondering if people had opinions on their "favorite" dealers and/or salespeople in this area.

I'd prefer not to go very far, but I'm open to anything in the (2hr) vicinity

Uhthankyou

ya i agree.... nothing great about don miller... i went to the mazda dealer in FonDuLac a few months ago and the sales man was really nice. Answered all questions i had, even let me test drive the MS3! I did not buy anything from them but they were nice enough to allow a test drive with a friendly smile...

How was your appearance when you went to the dealer?

If you show up in raggedy clothes, they might just assume you're a kid with no money, and thus not spend any time on you.

MS3's are popular right now, so I'm sure most dealers aren't worried about those sales as much as the CX-7 or 9.

I had jeans on and my coat... so.. for them to treat me like crap because of that would be ridiculous.

I think it's probably because I'm a younger female... They've always treated me that way too.

I went to school to be a tech. so I'm not an idiot. One time I called about my warranty to have them look at my car (the engine mount was bad)

I explained to them the problem- in detail, and the guy says... "Is the check engine light on? That's the little orange light that looks like a tiny motor"

I was IRATE. HELLO! I just said several things that should have tipped you off to the fact I'm not am complete friggin moron. Ass.

I have a huuuuge list of wrong doings when it comes to them... yet...I STILL went back to them to buy a car.

Maybe I need to go to FDL... I called Don Miller and they said I couldnt even test drive the car until I started a sales order.

Blah. I'm still salty about it and don't wanna go back til I simmer down some... but I know I'll end up buying from them since I just dont have the time to go anywhere else.

It'll be great to see what they offer me for my car for trade in...cant waaait to hear that.

So you're a young female and you were wearing normal chick clothing?

No offense, but dealers will probably look at you two different ways. 1, someone with rich parents. Probable negotiating issues later. 2, someone who can't afford more than the car she has now and is just looking for fun.

I had the same problem when I was looking to get a Trans Am. Even though I was a male, I was still young at the time (21) and looked the part of the typical college student. They wouldn't even let me test drive a used T/A they had in their lot - and that's after calling up and arranging a test drive BEFORE I even showed up. Two weeks later, I returned with nicer clothing. The dealer kissed my ass until I told them I bought a T/A from a different dealer for a better price. Then told the manager my experience.

Look on the bright side. You're clearly smart when it comes to cars, so you'll be able to spot con-jobs when you take the car to the dealer.

Anyways, good luck w/that speed3!

Have you tried Hall Mazda in Milwaukee? Not sure what kind of reputation they have, but I know they exist...

You might want to see if there is a dealer in Dubuque, IA as well. That is only about 1.5 hours from Madison.

i would stay away from buying a car in iowa. bought one with my sister many years ago and it was a b****.. all kinds of additional paperwork and charges...could have changed by now but i am not sure...

My parents have bought several cars in IA, they never complained about paper work. (shrug)

Man your dealers suck. At 19 they let me test drive a G35 and a few BMW's and mercedes. And I just test drove the new 07 Z touring. But I always come in saying that my parents are getting me a vehicle and the want me to come look first. lol. Works 75% of the time every time.

Well...I'm not young enough to have Mommy and Daddy buying me cars (although that sure would be nice)...and I would figure that seeing as I have a Mazda already someone would have acknowledged me.

Even have the courtesy to ask me if I needed help with something (assuming they would think maybe I had a service issue or something)

I will be returning maybe tomorrow after a job interview and see what happens. I feel bad for the poor unfortunate fool who will ask me if I need any help (that is, if anyone does) because I'll be tearing him/her a new asshole.

I bought my Speed3 from Russ Darrow Mazda in Milwaukee and had a pretty good experience. I have sold cars in the past myself so I knew what to do and when to walk, if necessary. If anyone is interested, I would talk to Andy O'Harrow and tell him Brendan sent you.

Sorry to revive a dead post.

I bought my Speed6 from Russ Darrow and also had a good experience.

Could someone explain to me what Russ Darrow did wrong? That link doesn't seem to work.

interesting, that thread disappeared....

basically, a salesman from there got on here, posted as several screen names, talking up russ darrow, then proceeded to deny it...

yada yada yada, made him look like a big idiot, his "facts" didn't line up either
