I smell BOOST.....

The car boost guage is reading 23 vac but when rev up it doesn't go over 0 lb of boost could it be due to the leakin the BOV.

It should not while you are sitting still. The car is not under any load.

At idle the boost guage is reading 23 vac , When reved up it would only go up to 0 on the guage maybe I'm not reving it up enough to get boost or that leak in the BOV is screwing it up.

That what it is suppose to do. The car should not make boost while you are just sitting there reving. Boost is load dependant. Unless the car is moving (pulling under load) it will not make boost.

first of all which vac nipple are you using on the bov you should only be using the top one and the lower is left vented now turn the screw on top all the way in and then back it out as you rev it a little till it blows off and dosnt leek any more. also check your intercooler piping to see if its loose a clamp or something.

yup thats how mine is hooked up yellow to ecu and blue to o2 sensor try that. that might fix the stalling and the black smoke and so on

Ok, these are the instructions I used for the O2 modifier. Can someone please tell me if these are wrong or right.

dont go by these instructions unless you bought it from flyin miata terry said the wire colors are diffrent spool o2 clamp yellow to ecu blue to o2 sensor purple un used i stated that at the top of the page just trying to help you out this might be your problem. call terry to see if im right thats how mine is wired up.
he said i was right so i dont know maybe im an idiot

Here is what I ran:

My turbo has a 3" inlet, so I ran a 3" to 2 1/2 coupler from the compressor, 2 1/2 pipe from that coupler till almost hitting the intercooler pipe, then I used a 2 1/2 inch 90 degree rubber coupler and pointed it downward, then put the MAF on the down side of the 2 1/2 inch 90, then put the filter on the MAF.

So basically the MAF and filter are pointing toward the ground right below the intercooler pipe. I will go out and take a pic.

How far is it from the turbo now? Is it running better? If you run it to far you will have idle issues:(

The stalling issue is now gone since I moved the MAF. Wish I had done this before running the track last night. I would get staged and the damn thing would stall. By time I got it started, the light would be green, and couldn't get a consistent start. I'm just glad I dont stall every time I pull up to a light anymore, very embarrasing.

Terry! Call me, I never got an answer on the O2 modifier, I don't know if I am hooked up right or not. I tried your phone and couldn't get thru.

Gotzoom- Is that 90 degree bend hitting your cold pipe? It looks from the picture that is a little smushed agnist it. Also the MAFS is 2.75" how did you get it to fit onto a 2.5" coupler? Just curious.
Thanks,
-Chris

Its just the shadow, it touches but not much, definitly not smushed, that 90 is thick rubber. I lubed the inside of the 90 and slid it on the MAF. Its rubber, so it gives a little.
