I present to you, the Passion5

That's a great link to the build on that corvair. The guy even kept up with it over the years and has taken pictures as time went by, the latest being 3yrs after the initial application. I'll see if I can dig up a few that have helped me along the way.

They yellow wasn't terribly bright in person, then again yellow isn't exactly a quiet color, but it is a different (brighter) shade than the MSP lip that I have; even though they are different colors from the factory. I used the same paint on the valve covers, it should turn out pretty nice. The roof is still primered from where I removed all of the bondo and fiberglass and I need to go ahead and seal it to prevent the rust from coming back, maybe I'll go ahead and bite the bullet...

I have personally seen that Aqua coloured Gemini Wagon, and its pure nuts!! :D My second love (evil)

What a great project! And you're doing a mighty fine job so far. I think it'll look great in yellow. I drive a silver one but I've always thought the P5 in yellow really stands out.

I've seen some paint roller jobs and they do turn out great.Project is coming along well done sir.

Thanks everyone for thd support, i am relieved that you guys are supportive of the roller job ;)

BTW, Picked these up tonight for the p5, cost? zilch, nada...free!

I have to say I like the ideaof the roller paint as well. I have always wanted to try it but never got around to it. Awesome link you provided. I never new of the 626 MPS Concept Car from Mazda. Makes you think about how the MS6 came to be. Would have been better to stick with a V6 though.

Anyways great job so far. The P5 is looking beter already.

Nice - how did you work that?

i have actually seen a paint rolled car in person, a bmw E30, it was white
i couldnt even tell he used a paint roller on it until i was right up next to it,
it looked pretty sweet from far away cuz he used like an eggshell paint so there was no gloss

They were on craigslist with a crappy pic and no price. Sent an email asking what they wanted for them an she said they were free, come and get them. Im sure that i'll paint them, but there are a few scratches. I think one of them may have a nasty flat spot, but worst case another wheel from car-part is $50-80 and i could is the bad wheel as a full size spare ;)

Anyone have a recommended tire size for these? They are 17x6 and the car will in no way resemble anything "hellaflush". I was thinking 205/40/17 but haven't started looking.

Yea it was pretty random, was actually looking for a set of mazda6 wheels :p

^^^Actually i was thinking 205/40...wouldn't a 50 series sidewall be too tall?

205/45 would be perfect with those wheels (they're 17x6.5 I believe) on a protege5

205/50 on those wheels does look pretty big lol ive seen a pic and they were huge
205/40's would be good, same with the 45 sidewall since the wheels themselves are so skinny

So i was thinking about doing something similar to this color (hence why i was looking for mz6 wheels).

I did a similar color on my Z. Thoughts on pairing with the yellow?
