I officially hate my Mazdaspeed3 :(

You know, I probably am over-reacting....

I'll feel SO much better about this car the first time I go six months without having to bring it to the dealer for more than an oil change....
yea man its a very rare case but its worth hanging in there...u are under warranty so just keep bothering ur dealer even tho it may be time consuming...

Well, they say never to buy a first-year car. Of course, with Mazda's mishandling* of the MazdaSpeed brand in the states, if you don't buy first year, you may miss out all together! (MSP)

*I doubt anyone cares, but this is what I mean by mishandling the MS brand.

If you haven't called mazda Customer service, I would if I were you and explain your problem.
You never know maybe you can return it under the lemon law.

They didn't replace the engine actually....they said they were going to, but the service manager said that they wouldn't be replacing the engine after all.

I just want more than a month without dragging the thing to the dealer.

I really want to love this car, but it's been a pain in the ass since the first month I bought it....

SO what is that like 10 people out of 34,500 members on this forum.
Go check out some other car forums and you will see the same $hit.(sssh)

Wow, all the negative feedback makes me wonder if I should go through with getting mine Monday.

I wasn't being serious =x
Besides, as others have stated, every car has it's problem and none are 'problem-free'. I'm awaiting getting mine Monday =]

I looked at them today at mazda...very nice, but not worth thr $30k after markup....booo I'd get an STi....but

What a markup?
I paid msrp In VA.

I just talked with a dealer today. They had a $2k markup on all the ms3s, but dropped to MSRP the second I pressed them on it.

I don't think I'll buy another Mazda again either.

This is just plain bad press on Mazda's part.

Next time, I'll go with a Honda or something....

Your Honda will have problems, then you'll say, "I don't think I'll buy another Honda again." ^_^

I feel your pain. Having problems with cars sucks (especially with a brand new vehicle), and Mazda dealerships don't quite seem to understand the words "customer service" based on my personal experience. Cars, being made by us imperfect human beings, are not perfect; I'm sorry that you're having the worst of it, and I sincerely hope that Mazda will take care of the situation for you.

I have friends who tell me how terrible their experience has been with Audi, BMW, etc., but that won't sway me from buying an M3 or an RS4 simply because I enjoy automobiles - to me they're more than appliances to get me from point A to point B. *^_^*

It does suck and I feel bad for you nondual. Try and keep things in perspective. The mount issue is relatively small....it just had a big consequence. Luckily you didn't lose control of the car and didn't get hurt.
The check engine light isn't new. We've all had our share. Just took a little longer to catch up to you. Once that's fixed, try and put the past issues behind you and enjoy the car. Other auto-makers have problems too. These are relatively complex machines. They break. It's the nature of the game. Ask my friend who's got his 06 Accord V6 in the shop for warranty work. His transmission is toast. I won't even tell you about my BMW. (nailbyt)

Swamp - this is the THIRD time I've had the persistent CEL. It caught up with me at 1,300 miles.

That's wierd... When did the CEL start showing up again? We've had ours for 3 months and no problems. Did you drive it hard when you first got it? I babied ours for the first 2k miles.

It showed up at 1.3k, they re-drilled the holes, CEL showed up again, got fixed three months later (that's how long I had to wait for the part), then the engine dropped, now the CEL is back.

jsut keep takign it to the dealer man...tell them to give ua cx7 car in the mean time or something u can beat up and take ur anger out lol

Somebody please help talk me back into loving this car....

It has such potential - but it's been in the shop 5 times in 5 months....

I love the idea of modifying it, but I'm sorta terrified of owning the car out of warranty. If I'd have wanted a car I only felt safe owning in warranty, I'd have bought a MINI.

i had this sort of problems with the car before my mazda..it was a renault clio... i remember the tv ads stating the slogan "made in heaven"...

the inconvenient truth: it was made in hell. within 2years i had to put about 13,000 deutschmarks into repairing this little car (imagine this number!!! luckily enough i had a used car insurance which covered about 10,000 of that).
you can surely imagine my feelings... there was NO WAY i was ever gonna like or trust that car again... i randomly punched it when i was going to the car in the morning or while waiting for the gas to fill up at the gas station, i sincerely hated this car just for the bad feelings it had caused me.....

and i'm sorry, i see no real reason why you would fall in love with your car again.. if a car let's you down like 5 times in 5 months, the love is over. if my engine dropped out of my car because of a production failure, i would go up in a huge ball of fire and most likely kill the dealer who sold me that car... it's true that every car has his specific problems but there's a limit to everything. my advice: go sell the car. you have every right to hate mazda. and be aware: as soon as your car is out of warranty, you will pay an arm and a leg for parts and labor !!!

OMG! right now i have calculated the deutschmarks to euros and find out: 13,000 deutschmarks = 6666,66 EUROS! . one more proof this car was made in hell !!!

Every car company has lemons some more than others, perhaps honda less than mazda but either way I don't think your individual case is an everyday thing. Just out of curiousity what are the CEL codes that the MS3 throws? If it makes ya feel any better I have heard of several honda accords, and odysseys with second gear failure in their autos apparently they have pretty weak auto tranny especially from 1st to 2nd. Also RSX has 2nd gear synchro problems in manual. I do agree though that after viewing many threads on this forum, mazda NA has terrible customer service.
