I've owned my car for 6 months and it's been in the shop 4 ******* times.

I get my car back after the ENGINE FALLS OUT OF IT and now this morning I have a beautiful CHECK ENGINE LIGHT to gaze upon AGAIN!!!

WTF is it with this car?

that sucks dude... I think you just hit that random 1:10000 bad luck...

hopefully all your problems will cease soon and itll be smooth sailing for years to come...

where it IS a pain, the CEL to me isnt really what I would consider a problem - though Im used to them by now... for other reasons...

If the car is in the shop for more than three times for the same issue and can't be resolved then I would try and get Mazda to buy it back under the Lemon Law. Although this law varies state to state.

Damn, that sucks. I guess you got that one bad apple. I had the same issues with the New gen Civic. I was at the stealership every other week.

Maybe I'd buy that if I was the only one having these problems, but I'm not.

I bought it in North Carolina and now I'm in California. Which law applies?
I would call Mazda and explain your situation. Most likey you will not get anywhere by trying to argue the case to the dealership. You will get more answers and more action taken by dealing with Mazda directly. But I guess this would be in an extreme case. Not quite sure you are there yet.

well my opinion is that your problems have been more severe than others.

yes CEL is a known issue, as is the tranny mount.

however no everyone with these issues has had their engine drop out of the car... So either one of 2 things happened, you got a lemon, or you just have seriously bad luck.

I know too many people personally with these vehicles with NO issues (valve CEL aside) to say its major across the board... So unless you are just blowing the issues youre having out of proportion, youre in a very very small percentage of owners with MS3s...

sorry

No one I know will EVER buy a Mazda now, and several of them had high opinions of the brand beforehand....

That's pretty extreme. You can't base the quality of a vehicle based on a few cars that are having trouble. Certainly not Mazda as a whole.

I'm just telling you what they're telling me....

Fair weather friends...
I don't think I'll buy another Mazda again either.

This is just plain bad press on Mazda's part.

Next time, I'll go with a Honda or something....

This is actually a good thing, the less potential buyers, the more dealers will be willing to play with the price. BTW, Honda has it's share of problems also.

Dude so they replaced you engine and everything which is great.
The cel is a know problem with an updated part, they should have updated that part when they replaced the engine.

NO CAR IS PERFECT

They didn't replace the engine actually....they said they were going to, but the service manager said that they wouldn't be replacing the engine after all.

I just want more than a month without dragging the thing to the dealer.

I really want to love this car, but it's been a pain in the ass since the first month I bought it....

yea thats bad....you should definitely not switch to honda.......just get a gun and start shooting people.......LOL there is nothign to say here. you make your own decision and its obvious u already made it, my car is badass...no problems and im always satisfied with mazda cars....im sure many people feel the same way....but if you get a honda ull see speed3's drive by and you'll say "dam, that car is so much better than mine"

Only if I forget that it's most likely in the shop nearly once a month....

You know, I probably am over-reacting....

I'll feel SO much better about this car the first time I go six months without having to bring it to the dealer for more than an oil change....

yeah basing the whole mazda thing on one car is a bit much. that's why i love used cars, lol seems to have less problems with them than the new cars :)

but that sux dude, there's always that black sheep and u happen to find it
