Ok I need to know how to drive an automatic. I put a cold air intake and i did my exaust in my car. I raced another protege 5 that was stick last night. HIs was stock, and he kicked my ass. I need to know how to race my car, I Know you guys are going to tell me to get stick because everyone tells me that, even my little sister. Do i drop it to 1st gear? or do i just keep it in drive? do i leave the over drive on or off? PLease help me before i make a fool of myself on the street again. I want to be the one flashing my hazard lights.

You won't be able to make a stock Automatic compete against a stock Manual. It just won't happen. Looks like you need a turbo.

Dont get a manual (although you can stick in a manual to replace the auto). The cost is comparable (ok, well not really, I just want the guy to get the turbo) but it's a f*ing headache:bs: and I wouldnt want to do it. Plus all you get is a little shifter thingie, and hey, how cool is that compared to a
