I need a new horn

I've seen people that were oblivious to police sirens behind them before. Saw a thing where some police force was installing a really low subwoofer type thing that rattles the cars to wake people up.

Loud horn may not have helped in your case. Loudest horn on earth might not be enough, if the other car doesn't quickly realize why someone is honking AND immediately respond with the correct action. But at least a horn is good for "yelling" at idiots who don't watch what they are doing. btw, that type of close call happens more often than you may think so don't be shocked next time... just keep paying attention like you did there, so you can dodge all the morons.

Unfortunately, that is quite true. I've had people ignore dual air horns before. If they are really tuned out only a train horn would wake them up.

Did the idiot that casually changed lanes on a slight bend apologize when you went past him or was he oblivious? If oblivious Ihe truly is a moron. There are ways to make these people more aware but I don't really recommend my method :) unaware idiots that are not apologetic are the main cause of road rage many of us have experienced in our years of driving. Lucky nothing happened Jeremy, always gotta watch out.

Could use a stronger horn IMO, but having a train horn in my show truck makes me biased ..lol

Cool, and regardless I'm sure the train horn is very effective for show Dakota.

I would have retaliated but my aunt was in the car so I kept a cool head.

For years I've been saying "You'll never convince an idiot that they are an idiot" so generally there is no way to make them realize they are a moron and often you end up looking like one if handled wrong.
You could chase them down, yelling and screaming at them trying to run them off the road but in the end they will never go "wow, you are right, I should have been paying better attention"

Yup. Lets people know you are there. lol

The only drawback is if the driver in the video had been really startled by a super loud horn he very well may have swerved around real fast in a panic and ended up hitting you.
Someone once commented that it often isn't a good idea to honk at old people that are going slow in front of you because their reaction might be a panic stop in an attempt to avoid whoever is honking at them. You never know how someone is going to react to being woken up and a train horn may do more than just get their attention. And I'm curious from a legal standpoint if the impact happened after the horn how it would affect it the other driver blaming the impact on the train horn (which is probably not legal in most places)

The truly sad thing is we are turning into a world where you almost have to have a dash cam. If you hadn't had a witness in your car (and even with one who knows) it would have just been your word against the other drivers had they hit you and claimed that you hit them.
